  1. NDSU would kick notre dame in agriculture and pharmacy(if notre dame has it).
  2. You guys are really entertaining. The few of you guys who aren't complete homers had no problem admitting Notre Dame's superiority over North Dakota in almost everything, in the next 5 to 10 years I do believe hockey will be another thing they take over in. The Sioux brag about their success in a sport that only comes first in a handful of schools. Ask Gopher fans whats more important? Hockey? or athletic sports such as football and basketball? Everyone wants to win in the latter two. Ask Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Boston College, or any school that is Division 1 in all sports what comes first and they will flat out tell you. Do they enjoy the success their hockey teams have? Absolutely. As far as Fighting Irish being hostile and abusive......the people of Ireland disagree. Notre Dame plays for a variety of trophies in football contests including the shillelaugh(spellling?), the jeweled shillelaugh, and the Ireland trophy which have all been crafted in Ireland. They have also played games in Ireland before, and have plans in the making to play there again in the future. As far as the Sioux goes, I'm less educated on that discussion except that I do not know any other school that had to change their name because they all easily got tribal approval. Some examples being The Utes of Utah, Chippewa of Central Michigan, and the Seminoles of Florida State. I do know that UND couldn't get one of the tribes to EVEN VOTE on the matter. You were given several years to get it taken care of and couldn't do it. Interesting trivia bit you may all appreciate is that UND switched their name to the Fighting Sioux following NDSU becoming the Bison because Sioux hunt Bison. If that isn't pathetic then I don't really know what is. Can you imagine if your local hometown switched their mascot so it is a predator of your rival? Should Minnesota switch their name to the French-Canadian Badger Trappers? No! This name change will only benefit your university in the long run and in that, I wish you good luck. On the Plains of North Dakota, standing there for all to see, was an old abandoned outhouse that they call the University (you guys might be too dumb to get that they imply UND) Hail the Bison, Hail the Bison, with their tails up in the air, University, University, you can kiss whats under there..... (BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM) We're the MIGHTY BISON and who the !@#$ ARE YOU!
  3. Im home now....25 on ACT(yes, i know, only slightly above average) UND is not an excelllent institution, its a lot like NDSU which is essentially an average school to go to as far as academics. Notre Dame incoming freshman average a 31 on the ACT, average at NDSU and UND is something like a 22 or 23.
  4. 11 NCAA D-1 Football Titles, (most all-time) to 7 ncaa hockey for the siouxage, pretty sure football is much more difficult to win in as well....sooooo you grasping the concept?
  5. NDSU has bigger fish to fry. Why play UND? NDSU already gets anyone they want when they recruit against UND. NDSU can however, make a huge load of cash playing a low-midlevel opponent from a BCS conference and open up a new recruiting center in the area following the game. Gene Taylor has the right idea when he pretty much says, "You come here a few times then we'll talk about going up there for one." The legislature won't do a thing about forcing the game because its not exactly beneficial to both schools, quite the contrary, really hurts NDSU. Yours truly from Johnson Hall at North Dakota's largest University, WhatsHockey?
  6. Notre Dame is too honorable to charge the siouxage for the use of the ND. In the past 4 or 5 years, the Notre Dame Hockey team has something like top 3 in wins in that span. Made it to the championship and played a close game against the very same Boston College that put up something like 5 or 6 goals up on the "other" UND in one period. Perhaps one day the University of North Dakota will be great again like the 50's or whenever you were good. A lot of similarities between UND hockey and Notre Dame football....at least the Irish have awesome academic standards....
  7. We should all be thankful for the University of Notre Dame, as they have proven that even small, underfunded college hockey teams can do anything! Their football program BTW, has an awesome chance of beating SC. SC's qb is hurt, Notre Dame is coming off of a win against army!(yeah, not important) but more importantly a complete drubbing of Utah. USC on the other hand is coming of a 30 point loss to lowly Oregon State(losing record). Look at two proud programs to duke it out with less than ideal teams facing off. As for all of your hating on me guys, come on, go on Bisonville and you'll see we eventually befriend the trolls! I don't say half as hateful of things to them! As for any "complex" i might have, I do have a "no nickname" complex which typically turns me against schools that aren't represented by a name in the coming years. Enjoy your Thanksgiving, sleep tight, because if things go according to my wishes, Notre Dame leaves North Dakota saying, "Nice arena, nice atmosphere, overrated hockey team......and damn cold weather." Yours truly, representing 344 Johnson Hall on the campus of North Dakota's largest university, WhatsHockey?
  8. What's up LakesBison/MPLS Bison?

  9. First night...2-2 draw. Second night, 3-1 Irish! The real ND, the one with money, pride, athletic tradition, classy fans and school, will prove victorious.....and to think...the people down there are hardly even aware they have a hockey team. The way things are meant to be. God, Family, Football, Basketball, sport for unathletic white trash.
  10. hey im a big notre dame fan and live in fargo so obviously travel isnt an issue but how much would i be looking at for ticket price? just a poor college student who really can care less about where my seat is.
