I'm surprised ProudSioux hasn't started a game thread (brought to you literally by keystone light).

I was pulling for South Florida this year...I thought since they just got football established 11 years ago they were a "small school". I found out on ESPN last night that they have 44,000 students! I'm glad Rutgers won.

If you are going to cheer for one or the other, cheer for NDSU. I have heard way too many bad things coming from the metro area about North Dakota (the state). The arrogance of folks surrounding the gopher program is incredible. A win for the bison is a win for the state of ND. NDSU fans likely encountered many jerks at the dome last year who were gopher fans, they will see the same this year....and this is for a program that hasn't won anything in half a century. Imagine being around gopher hockey fans who have a fairly successful program. The arrogance increases exponentially! Anyway, instead of me saying "Go North Dakota State!" I will say: "GO STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA!!!"

I assume Tavern United at the Canad will have the game. $1.50 bottles, Sioux hockey, and scantily clad servers...now that is a great night!

In 86-87, we also lost a home game to Colorado College in the WCHA playoffs. Back then though, it was a 2-game total goal series and we had whooped them the night before.

I read on D2football.com that Omaha is bringing their band up to Grand Forks for the game. I can't remember a team doing this in the past, maybe the Bison did, but I'm not sure. It is going to be a war! Sioux by 7 this time...

I have bought my $10 tickets at the Ralph box office. No reason not to attend this one folks....especially for the low price. Looking at Ticketmaster, plenty of tickets remain as of this morning. The price on ticketmaster.com is $7.50/ticket. I assume it comes out to be $10 with the fees. You could get them online and choose "will call" or "print now" to get your tickets.

Anyone have pictures from the game they took? It was a great one to be at. Amazing Sioux crowd as usual. It was very very loud when we were on D at the end of the game. I can't wait for the Red Mavs this weekend.

Why not schedule an exhibition game against the Wild instead of Manitoba?

Agree, why in the world would you miss a game for a hunting opener? Will the birds not be there the following day? Leave to hunt after the game.

I will be heading to Mankato to see the game. It will be my first football game there. Anyone else going? Where do the Sioux fans sit? Anyone meeting before the game? I would imagine a lot of Sioux fans show up due to Mankato being close to the twin cities.

Stats geeks: When is the last time a player had 90+ yard TD runs in back to back games??? How about in a season? In a career??? This is a special team folks.
