I wasn't pleased to see Stoa run a Sioux player into his own goalie, and then turn around and start beating him while he was still on the ice, but was even more surprised to hear Stoa say in the post-game interview that that's exactly what happened, and the coaches told him to do it. What a bush league program...

On an unrelated note, a "Get Well Don" sign somewhere in the mix would be in good taste...

If you use a Sioux home jersey, it would be good to find an authentic one with black lettering. UND has never used a jersey that looks like the one in the picture...

It seems like discussing a coaching change given the unexpectedly poor performance of the Sioux in the last game and in recent NCAA final four games is at least an appropriate topic given the forum, whereas calling the other posters on this board ignorant and bull$%!# is a violation of forum rules. UND put up a poor performance and was poorly prepared for their semifinal game, and I don't see how pretending that all's well and good serves any fan's purpose - even those fans who don green-colored glasses so they can pretend to be somehow better than those who wish to discuss current topics and issues. Yep, that was clear from your post, but I'm not sure most others caught it. I just wanted to point out that it might make sense to clear it up before some people spend a lot of time or effort into designing various things incorporating the name or logo. There are some very good reasons for him to say no, so I was mostly concerned that people didn't waste a lot of time by doing things out of order.

I'd avoid using any brand names like siouxposrts.com without permission. If someone's licensed it for this project already it's not an issue, except that it should be identified as a trademark on the shirt...

Yes they can. The video will likely be reviewed for game disqualification penalties, if appropriate, which are the only ones that would carry over to next game and would make any difference, which is what Adam was trying to say as the coaches left the ice. I would be surprised if there were game disqualification penalties called based on what I saw (and the ridiculous number of no-call during the game), but who knows? John

I thought it was a decent story, but not really any sort of unique reflection on North Dakota. There hasn't been any real need to have a town every 15 miles in the rural parts of the country for decades, and it only seems natural that only the larger towns will survive over time. John
