  1. Interesting. Niki is only 5' 8", but sure looks like a sniper. Very much like Hoogsteen. No doubt his size is the negative to NHL scouting. Although Murray is no heavier than Niki, he is taller (5'11").
  2. Can't be.
  3. Although SCSU got to hang one banner.
  4. Salmon Arm message board says Nikiforuk has committed to UNO.
  5. Murray now with 61 points in 34 games (25-36). Here's a recent natural hattrick: http://www.sasilverbacks.com/Archive/Dec5_..._Murray_Hat.mpg Also, hattricks for Murray and Veidemann: http://www.sasilverbacks.com/Archive/Nov_2...4_dual_hats.mpg
  6. Diversity "attitude adjustment" training alert
  7. What sort of animal is this?
  8. Maybe the audio feed will work from now on??? This email from undalumni association: I know how frustrating this is!! But I think we are going to be finally getting some action after this weekend. I have been gently and not so gently suggesting that someone at athletics has to check to make sure the encoding is working before each and every game. I finally got somone to check on Friday, but they assumed that it would also be working on Saturday. Unfortunately, some time Saturday afternoon some unknown person shut down the pc doing the encoding. The person I'm working with over there has finally agreed and he is now going to have THREE people checking the encoding before every game. So hopefully, we will never have a repeat of this again!!
  9. What did Durno do, slash Parise at the end? Notes get into it because of it?

Post game Blais said Canady would replace R Hale tonight, but that was when he thought it might be a shoulder seperation. Would expect that will happen anyway.

Don't let the Cornellians hear you say that Sure you used a logical thought process before you posted
  12. CC will be tough; don't the Sioux get them 4 times in January? Gophs should be no worse than a split, though. There will be a major change in gears for the Sioux after these December opponents, then CC. Maybe the CC players will load up with turkey and mashed potatoes during the holiday Send a truck load of 'em from the potato factory now.

Think I fell asleep listening to the audio feed. Surprised this team wins in the CHA, or whatever it is they play in. Whoops, guess that's the MAAC.
  14. Info on Sioux alumni used to be at: http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Dugout/...2/siouxpros.htm Not sure who did this but it has become outdated. Would be nice to compile this info into a web page and keep it current.
  15. You mean the Sioux third or fourth line would be??
  16. Having seen Prpich for just one period in the Kato game, he reminded me of Bayda, as I posted elsewhere; hard worker and great forechecker (and backchecker). JK reminded us of another #19, Scott Dub, local hard working kid who went at it as hard in practice as he did in games, becoming a real crowd favorite on some great Sioux teams. Looks to me, however, that Prpich has a bit more offensive upside than Dub, probably closer to that of Bayda. Hope he's the answer to the "who's going to play the wing opposite Bochenski", question.

  18. The US games at the World Junior tourney will be shown on the YES network(playoff games beginning Jan. 2), channel 622, directtv. Times and dates can be found at http://www.usahockey.com/usa_hockey/03_wor...3_worldjuniors/ Streaming audio should also be available from the same site.
  19. Fighting rules were much different. No DQ's, nor, as I remember, even game misconducts. Although I'd guess of few of the main combatants in that one were kicked out of the game. Fighting generally brought just 5 minute major penalties, which were obviously matching penalties most of the time. Much like the NHL.
  20. Must have agreed not to talk about it before the show began.
  21. Knowing Prpich' reputation from juniors, probably was a good guy to push out of the scrum. Looked like it was close to a big fight (from the PCM pic); good chance that neither team would have ended up with enough players left to play Friday. Would not have been a good way to celebrate a sweep. SCSU could not afford to lose more players with Denver coming to SC. Good thing those 4 games are done. Think the two teams have seen enough of each other for awhile.
  22. Nothing on the Canady DQ?
  23. What brought about the Canady spear and DQ after the game? Seems that celebrating a sweep would have been foremost on the Sioux' players' minds. Did the Huskie's skating by the Sioux celebration do some yapping, or what?
  24. too late for tonight, but here it is: http://www.undalumni.org/broadcast.htm
  25. Maybe you can get D Hale, Greene, Jones, and Schneider out there to restore order. No DQ's, all hits are legal
