Murray and Niki are lighting it up in the BCHL. Good web site to visit; good videos of goals, Murray often (usually) in them. Looks like they've picked up another scorer from Vernon, who, I believe, is playing with Murray and Nikiforuk (Omaha). Josh Ciocco, a UNH recruit, is now third in scoring on the team.

CC tied by Mich. Tech, Maine tied by Merrimack tonight. A win and the WCHA has a tie for first.

After watching P. Martin try to break the puck loose from the water covered ice behind the net to begin the third on Friday night (with Sioux penalty time remaining), guess the Sioux didn't want a repeat performance by them on Saturday night. That was really entertaining to watch; used up about 30 seconds of PP time (PMartin) behind the Gopher net trying to break out, and never made it (and he was by himself with the puck). Hilarious.

The Sioux play most of their games on the road. Looks favorable for the Sioux to me. UAA at the REA to start the playoffs sounds good to me.

I'd agree; one lackluster period is little to get concerned about. Bound to happen sooner or later. Wish it hadn't been the Gophers. Coming out late in the third (to let the ice freeze) kind of backfired. Sioux didn't get a chance to skate a bit before the puck dropped. Seemed that as a result, the breakaway and two on one that put the Gophers ahead essentially ended the game. Sioux seemed a bit tentative after that. Good game to learn from for later this year. Did I say I wish it hadn't happened against the Gophers?

That was a tough third period to watch. Came out late and flat, and instantly gave up a sh breakaway and a 2 on 1 (resulting in a goal). Haven't seen the Sioux this year before last night, but they've sure sounded like they played with more intensity in third periods than they did last night. Very flat beginning to end. Guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Must be nice. Sitting here in NWND in one of very few towns that doesn't have cable from Midcontinent. Stinks. Our rural telco has the cable (bought it from Midco), and there's rumblings about picking up the Siouxsports network from Midco. Lots of Sioux fans here (in the only small town that has a hockey program out here) putting pressure on them, maybe by next season??? Not much left this year, with only two more home series (and a WCHA playoff series, I imagine). Have heard that WDAY will stream video for the CC game next Friday. If anyone has a link to where this can be accessed, please post it.

Interesting on who the scout thought didn't perform up to expectations. I know from listening there were like 5 forwards who shared fourth line ice time, while the top two lines got extra shifts.

Anyone know what "stripes" team will be at the John. Other than the Schmitts/Schmidts, seems that all others can't stop blowing the whistle. Hope it's not an all special teams weekend, again.
