  1. That was funny. Too bad the shot didn't go in; think the DU player might have beaten Webber with a more accurate snap shot, rather than blasting a slapper into his chest. May have had to slap shoot it to break it loose, however. A whole lot of bad D and bad goaltending around the league last night. At least the Sioux will not fall below top 5 this weekend. Wisco looks to have pulled together since all the off-ice problems, and it does appear that the trip there next weekend will be a good test going into the playoffs (or backing out of them if the streak continues today ).
  2. 12 total after two at Wisco (Wisco 8 MTU 4), 9 after two at MN (MN 5 DU 4), and 5 after one at CC (CC 3 Kato 2). None of the goalies that stuffed the Sioux in recent weeks can stop a beach ball tonight.

Wow; got to wonder how many DQ's would have been handed out if that had occured at Yale. Maybe 5 or 6 for each team.

    Duluth/sioux

Sioux's opponents seemingly score on every Sioux mistake (as well as when there are not mistakes). The Sioux, on the other, get stoned multiple times by opponent goalies. Didn't hear any "big saves by Brandt" today. Heard a pile of 'em by Reichmuth.

    Duluth/sioux

Massen gets taken down, another Duluth penalty. Sioux will get the last minute of the OT on the PP. Deflected shot hits Reichmuth's pad. Just not going to score, no matter how many shots. Game over, tie. It's getting old.

Bochenski hits the pipe Or was it Parise? Back to 5 on 5.

    Duluth/sioux

Schneider just misses after Sioux win faceoff. OT-1:29 left on the PP to begin Ot.

    Duluth/sioux

Too many men on Duluth. Sioux get to go for the win in the last minute. Can they score? 31 seconds

    Duluth/sioux

Shots 14-2 in the third. Unfortunately, saves are 14-1.

    Duluth/sioux

Sioux with great chances following the tieing goal. Almost expect a Duluth breakaway ending up in the net sooner or later

    Duluth/sioux

Comes down to winning the third once again, which the Sioux did well until the losing streak started. We'll see if the turnaround has begun. 3-2, second intermission.

    Duluth/sioux

There it is; 3-2; Greene turnover, then fails to cover the man who scores on the rebound. Second period domination by the Sioux now turns into just a one goal lead.

    Duluth/sioux

3-1 after one. Anderson DQ'ed with a crosscheck to the back on someone's?? head. He's done for the weekend. Major penalty will carry over into the second.

    Duluth/sioux

Petruik for Duluth, beats Brandt on short side from an angle. Not a good goal, I don't think. 2-1 Massen from Prpich on 2 on 0. 3-1 Sioux

    Duluth/sioux

LOL, Notermann with an early PP goal. Lundbohm with a "how's she goin". 2-0 Sioux early. Time out by Duluth already.
  16. Brandt will be in net.

    Cc-mankato

Time for CC to shut the kato newbies up for good. Yep, Sioux need to win or they'll find themselves in 6th place (Denver will win the tiebreaker).
  18. Once again a screwed up schedule.
  19. Any logo beats a dog, and the Sioux logo is the best in DI hockey.
  20. Yuck, it's green and yellow; couldn't stand it so I won't register. Besides JBB caused enough trouble over here. Let them spew on their own board, we don't need to be there.
  21. We've all posted how important D. Hale has been to this team. Blais says it all here: The absence of Hale - an intimidating defenseman who commands great respect - has hurt as much as anything. "Nobody has stepped forward who I can see and made up for it," Blais said. "I think David Hale is the best defenseman in the country. And he is the leader of this team. His presence in our lineup creates more of an impact than anyone else we have."
  22. http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?s=&t...&threadid=22608 Funny how all the recent losses get the Sioux into this situation. If this were correct, it's arguably the best place they could possibly be, given the opponents. Still a tough regional, but much better than playing the teams in the West and Midwest regions. Course not winning the next couple weeks could take the team out of the NCAA's entirely.

    Swept again

You'll find most are Kato fans in the Kato thread; no big deal, they're just enojoying their recent success. Have to believe it will be short lived, but who knows. We'll see after their weekend at CC. Course Handy likes to rag on Parise, but no doubt it's just for reaction from Sioux fans on USCHO.

    Swept again

No kidding. Were the bandwagon Sioux fans really this bad earlier in the year? Time for a CC sweep, IMO.
