  1. You guys are at least finally arriving at a legal game bird

    UMD vs. Denver

I thought it was Unklesbee (sp?). Regardless, you could not play a 2-0 any worse than they did.
  3. An improbable ending to the WCHA season. Unreal.

    UMD vs. Denver

Believe it was Schwabe, and the two did not spread out, and force Berkhoel to go post to post. In spite of that, Berkhoel overplayed Lessard's short side, anticipating a wrist shot, and had Lessard deked and backhanded to the far side, he had Berkhoel beat easily, as Berkhoel was way out of position sliding in the wrong direction. A guess by Berkhoel turned out to be the right choice, and the rest of the game is history. Bummed for Scotty, he deserved a NC this year as well as his team played up to this loss. First Dog loss of the season when leading after two. Picked a bad game to end that streak.

    UMD vs. Denver

Bummed; MDU just wasn't the same team I saw vs the Sioux and the Gophers this year, after getting the 2-0 lead. Denver created the better chances through the second and third, and it was the Dogs turning over the puck and giving Denver odd man chances that decided the game, rather than the reverse (which I thought it would be). I'm not convinced Denver is the WCHA team to take out Hockey East in the finals, but it's all we have left

    UMD vs. Denver

Cheap shot Dora takes a stupid penalty in the Duluth end, and Lessard restores the 2 goal lead; gotta love it. Hache let them play more that period, but Denver has also stopped holding and tackling. I would have loved several first periods in the WCHA to have been called that way this year.

    UMD vs. Denver

A game called by the rules; what a novel idea. Denver is toast since they are not able to interfere, hold, and tackle in the defensive end. Should be interesting when Denver is forced to try to get to their offensive end with more than one forechecker. Duluth should clean up. Two Duluth goals that saw their way into the net. Deflection off of Berkhoel from an impossible angle, and a shot through traffic that made it through clean. Denver is lucky to be within 2 goals. Can't help but think how good this game could be with two similar teams facing off (MDU, UND).
  8. If yesterday's effort by NJ is any indication, they better replace some of the dead weight up front and give ZP a shot in the playoffs.
  9. Surprised he wasn't sent to Albany, rather than back to school (if the Post is accurate). Edit: Just saw Albany did not make the playoffs, so nowhere to go there. Neither Parise nor Hale is in today's game vs. the Bruins. Looks like Hale is becoming a healthy scratch for the playoffs also.
  10. ZP signed; he has no more college hockey eligibility. He could return to complete his sophmore year of classes. Disappointing if he doesn't play in the playoffs, to say the least. Here's the Post article: http://www.nypost.com/sports/devils/16242.htm
  11. Salmon Arm lost game 1 to Nainamo 4-2 (Zajac 1-1-2). Long delay when SA winger Miller was knocked out by an elbow and carted out to an ambulance.
  12. Bayda played in Carolina's game yesterday (-3, 0 SOG).
  13. Appears to me that ihatemaroonandgold, with 2 total posts, may be a gopher troll in disguise. Good thread to nuke.

    Parise's Rank

To gain entrance to the list of Sioux greats, you have to have been part of winning it all (IMO). Lots of names from the 79-83 teams, as well as 97-2001. Can't speak for the earlier teams, since I wasn't around then.
  15. GFH article says he skates this morning with the Devils, and there will find out if he dresses tonight. GFH certainly not the best of sources, however.
  16. Would appreciate any of you Center Ice people giving a small recap of ZP's performance (line, etc) in the game tonight. Would guess this won't be an ABC/ESPN game on cable tv.
  17. And a hug to go with it reduces the penalty to 1 minute

  19. A good year for the Sioux and coaches in spite of a loss to early for Sioux fans. Denver couldn't win playing that style more than 1 in 10 times, or maybe even 1 in a hundred. It just happened that night. One loss does not make a bad year, however disappointing.
  20. Good luck, Zach. Can't wait to see him in the NJ lineup for the playoffs. Will be nice since I'll probably get some NHL on TV, but seldom get to watch the Sioux, including this past weekend.
  21. TH described it just about that way on the radio broadcast. Preview of next year's Greene
  22. Unless the rules have changed, there have been college players that have gone right to the SC playoffs following the NCAA's.

    Mich/BC

B Eaves 10 minutes into OT; 3-2 BC Tickets in Boston will now be hard to come by, a scalper's dream.

BC ties it late in the game. May be OT.

    No Excuses

Sounds like someone who has to rent a boat to drag the water hazard for his favorite driver . I was thinking more like Beretta 686.
