Duncan is a 2005. He'll no doubt play juniors somewhere this fall.
-
Beaverson was originally listed as a 2004 on Heisenberg's list, but after the article we all saw was changed to a 2005. Could mean that Blais is asking him to spend another year in juniors since he did not advance as much as the coaches would have liked last season. Rick seemed to think the Sioux gave up on him entirely when he didn't do (improve) to what was expected of him in juniors. (Is Beaverson young enough to play another year of juniors?). He could look for another school to sign on with this fall, which I'd expect he'd try to do, especially if he can't play another year of junior hockey.

Heard that $8 per ticket thing during the last game vs. Philly. Cool, but only 200 tickets, right?. Looked like the campout line might beat the Sioux student fall campout for tickets.

Sorry about the title, Sioux fans. Couldn't help but do it thinking about other teams' fans (guess who) seeing the title and getting that "oh s**t" feeling when seeing the post. (yep, dagies, did it on purpose ) Sic, hope you had a well charged set of batteries for the dfrib unit.

Not to get excited, it's just Grande Prairie's Goodbye to their top defenseman for the last couple years. Hello to Radke in Siouxville

Recently booked online for a one night stay in GF, at the Travelodge (under $37). Looking at the 11 night package for the World Juniors, the same motel is in the "red" group, which comes to a whooping $111/night. A $70+/night price increase? Would expect to pay more because of the event, but a near 200% increase? The price for the hockey (21 games for $455) is a steal by comparison. http://www.ralphsworldjr.com/

THe only Norskie I know is "uff-da" but I'm still not sure what it means.

Kindersly scored twice in period 3 to defeat the Storm, 4-3. Season is done for Grande Prairie.

GP vs. Kindersly, 2-2 after one, Radke with assists on both Storm goals.
-
Now back to the RBC. Ironically, Nainamo, who creamed the GP Storm on Wednesday night 7-2, for their fifth straight win vs. GP (the previous four coming in the Doyle Cup), got beat by Kindersly on Thursday night, so, Nainamo finishes last (fifth), and out of the championship round. GP now plays Kindersly in the semifinal, while Aurora play Nepean. GP defeated all three remaining teams in the round robin.

The hit was not only directly from behind, Marleau finished it with an elbow to the back of the head that put Commie's face into the glass. Nose certainly looked broken when he was out again in the 3rd. Very cheap shot, would be nice to get revenge, but Marleau will never drop the gloves. Weanie.

Radke scored another PPG in the third period and GP wins it 7-2. Last game of the round robin tonight vs. Doyle Cup opponent Nainamo. Radke was the POG, leads all dmen in the tourney in scoring (4-2-6) and leads the tourney in goals. Story on the win and Radke at http://www.gpstorm.com GP clinches a semifinal berth with the win.
-
Radke scores with 11 seconds left in period 2. 5-2 GP after two periods to go 3-0 in the tourney.
-
Grande Prairie up on Nepean 4-2 late in period 2. Radke with an assist on the first GP goal.
-
Webcast is available at jk's link above for tonight's game. Looks to be good quality in the warmup. Unfortunately GP does not play today, the game just starting is Aurora vs Nainamo. Webcast is some new technology, supposedly, developed in Canada. Dataflix could take a look at this. The gold medal game will be televised on TSN, if anyone gets it (May 16)

Correct, a missed keystroke

Grande Prairie wins their second game 4-2 over Aurora of the OHA, the pre-tourney favorite. Radke with a goal and an assist, scoring again on the PP. http://www.gpstorm.com/

http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforksherald/8618398.htm Victory's failure to get the cable co's to add the channel, along with the bill in the legislature for the new stadium, forced them to pull the plug. Very happy they are done, it sucked not being able to watch the west regional this spring. FSN has bought the Twin's telecasts for the next 8 years, so one could assume they'll get college hockey back also.
-
Grande Prairie won their first RBC game, 5-3 over Kindersly Klippers (as opposed to the Nainamo Clippers, don't know what's with these same name Canadian teams, ie rough riders). Radke had a PPG in the game; POG was CC's recruit (I believe) McCulloch.

Yes, Sweden was definitely the better team. Didn't hurt that they picked up Forsberg, Alfredson, and Lidstrom from their beaten NHL teams. I believe the bronze medal game was going to be shown only if it was the USA vs. Canada. Since Canada won their semifinal, I don't believe we'll the USA game today.
-
This is apparently why the Twins were on FSN yesterday. If we're lucky, next year's NCAA hockey regionals will be back on FSN.

The USA/Sweden game played earlier this afternoon is currently being shown tape-delayed on ESPN2. Tomorrow's game will be on also, if the USA makes the gold medal game. http://www.nhl.com/onthefly/news/2004/05/212714.html
