  1. Actually, it's $7 and you can watch men's hockey (on TV), women's hockey in the main arena, or volleyball on Friday night, plus $1 food items at the Sioux-per dog?? stand. http://theralph.com/new2/Calendar_Section/...xPer_Action.htm
  2. $14.95 per game for the Maine webcast; steep.
  3. Friday night on CSTV (directtv sports pak channel 610)
  4. Must be something wrong with him; dinner's at the Red Pepper at midnight.
  5. They played at both Yale and Princeton in Nov 2002. Yale traveled to GF last season.
  6. This was asked, I think, earlier in the thread, but how do walk-ons make or get cut from the team, prior to coaches' practices starting?
  7. Lake Zahl National Wildlife Refuge, right next to Zahl.
  8. ONe worry, as always with these early exhibitions vs. Canadian colleges. The Bison, no doubt, have some guys that will want to drop the gloves and fight at some point in the game. A major waste if the Sioux lose anyone for the Maine series. Would guess that even Eades will be trying to keep the Sioux from getting a DQ in this game.
  9. That's a mustache?
  10. Heisenberg didn't have him up yesterday when I saw the BCHL message board post. Interesting, Heisenberg has him at 155, Vernon site at 180. Must be on the Fornier diet
  11. This post on the BCHL message board reads that Matt Watkins of the Veron Vipers has committed to play for the Sioux next year. Watkins, a 5'11", 180 lb. forward from Aylesbury, Sask, is 2-5-7 through 6 games as a 17 year old rookie with Vernon. Aylesbury is north of Moose Jaw, just a few kilometers south of Craik, home of former Sioux Doug Smail and, I think, Jim Archibald.
  12. Duncan scored 2 more today in a 5-4 loss; tough start for Salmon Arm, Duncan has played 3 of the 6 games and is second on SA in scoring at 4-1-5.
  13. Duncan , back in action last night after missing 3 games with a concussion, scored SA's first goal (a PP) to give Salmon Arm the lead in the 2nd period, but Vernon scored 3 3rd period goals to win 3-1.
  14. You'll definitely want to head east to the coast, since it's close, to the Bar Harbor area. Whale and Seabird Trips, and Acadia National Park look like good stops to me. Those that take the REA trip and the Bar Harbor trip on Saturday, will get to dine on this. Can't go to Maine without finding a place for lobster. Would guess it won't be difficult
  15. Getting very late for an offense to show up for either team.

    It's on now.
  18. Not a problem with the server/new site but the link to fightingsioux.com on the home football page needs updating. I like the new software.
  19. THe Sioux will be aiming a bit higher than that. Here is the GP Storm article. Bashaw, you may want to check out the web cast (pay for) or the free audiocast. Links are on the front page of this site.
  20. The Hearld article
  21. Yes
  22. Too non-native for me. Prairie with a wetland, and sharp-tailed grouse and/or mallard works for me
  23. First practice with coaches, Oct 2, followed by the first game vs Manitoba, also Oct 2, Meet the Sioux, Oct 5, 5:30PM
  24. Looks like it; that's not the first time I've done that
  25. This team reminds of on 1982 (which I thought had to be the best Sioux defensive team ever, but, was not, as last year's team was the best ever, and, as others have said, return their entire defense and goaltending). Since there was no internet and message boards, goph fans couldn't go on about lost points, etc, etc (and many on the 80 ncaa championship team jumped ship after that victory). Apologies to sagard, who seems to have always placed returning defense first (as I think he predicted PMart would be the gophs biggest loss last year, before it happened). The 82 team returned great leadership in Ludwig, Casey, Eades, Sykes, and Murray, and brought in possibly the best Sioux frosh class ever (Patrick, Zombo, Archibald, Sherven, Tippet, and Donnelly). If INCH had been around and not rated this class #1, they would have been wrong. Forward to this year, with the entire record setting (in Sioux history) defense, with experienced goaltending, and leadership in Jones, Schneider, Greene, Fuher, Smaby, McMahon, Murray, Porter, Stafford, Prpich, the list goes on and on, along with another highly touted (and "small" in numbers) freshman class (Zajac, Spirko, Radke, Lamoreaux, Kaip), and it's safe to say expectations should be high in Sioux camp. If you're going to worry, worry a year from now, when a large senior class is gone, along with inevitable early defections.
