Quick holding penalty on Murray; amazing.

Mason the referee, interesting. Wonder if he'll call the game by the "new" rules. Would be a large change from last year's UAA series.

I'm getting the radio broadcast out west on KFYR 550AM, Bismarck. Mankato feed streamed for a bit than quit. Would guess a lot of Sioux fans were connecting with no Sioux streaming audio feed available, again.

1. Did you try a dataflix sample to make sure it will work on your PC? There are links to a ZPar interview and a segment of last season's Concordia game. 2. If it's a login problem, have you refused cookies or have an auto setting that refuses cookies from dataflix? (can't get from your uname/password to the purchased game?)

How's the pic inside the arena look on dataflix? Bright or dark? Look like on high up camera as in past road games?
-
It wasn't scheduled to be on FSSN or WDAZ, unless there was a change this week. Audio not working right now either. Anyone else tried it?

No bear hunting in ND, probably the only area a bear might be found is in the Turtle Mountains of northcentral ND, as parkland bears from Manitoba occasionally make it there. Although historically bears roamed the prairies of ND, they have been mostly gone from here for some time, would guess from awhile before there were organized hunting seasons.

I'm a bit out of touch with the AHL but Manitoba doesn't call BC its home, does it? If you saw Manitoba, you saw former Sioux Lee Goren, MVP of the Frozen Four from the Sioux's last NCAA championship (2000).

Must have been "added" after the popularity of showing it in bars last year. I think the bars just bought the 8.95 product then, didn't they? Would be worth checking out, but I'm nowhere near anyplace with that capability. As I remember the road game dataflix productions were not very good, since they operated with 1 camera in a "high-up" location, in some very dark arenas (at least whatever they used appeared very dark). Maybe they improved on that this year.

What stops an individual (working at a bar) from buying the 8.95 dataflix rather than the bar 39.99 dataflix product? What do you get in the 39.99 version that isn't available in the cheaper product? Or does the REA want a cut of the beer sales?

There sure isn't a poster or calendar in the online siouxsports shop. Not even a windows desktop with schedule on the site. I'd suggest calling them at 1-877-91SIOUX and asking them about it. I got the calendar (with all sports listed) from a friend, but not sure where it came from?

You can pick up a webcast of the football show on wdaz.com. The hockey show, however, is on radio and is not streamed.

Did it this morning, NW winds at 20+, but, unfortunately, clear skies. NW sides of pond in morning light makes for no ID, can't tell what's coming at you. Stiill waiting.

Last I read they (REA) were advertising for a person to host the Thursday night and Friday before games FSSN hockey show. No further word if someone has been selected, or if FSSN will be showing a Thursday night show soon. The coach's show, however, is a radio only show. Have to count on PCM to "remember" to listen and post a recap here. And thanks, schmidtdoggydog for the recap of the Fagrow Sioux boosters.

My cable company told me they had a combination dish, that could be tuned to C or K band (many of you understand this, i don't, I'm not sure the "band" letters I listed are right, he just named two different ones). At any rate the horizontal to vertical change made it impossible for them to tune in a clear signal to FSSN (sounds similar to all of your problems). THe solution is to put up a dish that tunes to C band only; the cable co has bought the new equipment, and is hoping to have it installed and tuned by this Friday, but are unsure if they'll get it ready. So, out west we may be without FSSN another weekend.

Check out the recruits thread. Watkins and Kozek are discussed there.

Watched the Maine webcast, and although you couldn't always pick up numbers, and the broadcasters didn't always have the Sioux forward names, the Sioux rolled 4 lines and absolutely dominated puck possession in the second and third periods. Couldn't tell one line from the next, they cycled and controlled the puck constantly. Can't say that I've seen that kind of puck possession for quite a few years. Of course, ZPar and Bo were back out constantly the last two years, as they should have been, but this team can roll 4, it appears, without missing a beat. Should be an entertaining year. The Sioux also adjusted each night after the first period, to the tight penalty calling. I think in the long run, if the obstruction calls continue, the Sioux will benefit greatly. The Sioux, however, along with every other team, will have to get used to eliminating the stick checks, especially on the backcheck, from their game. This kind of checking has been so common throughout hockey at all age levels that I don't think any of us think of it as "hooking", or as a penalty of any kind, but it was called consistantly. The Sioux showed they could leave it out of their game and still be solid defensively last weekend. Eliminating the holding from several teams' games (includes both Denver and Maine last year) will be great for college hockey in the long run, if it continues to be called.

Wondering about this, the BCHL message boards and individual team sites read that Watkins and Kozek had "signed". Assuming they just verballed, and the signing will come in a month? Correct?

Is 410 yards to 63 feet better?

I like the "Ferris Gains 36 Inches (90 cm) All Day" headline

Duncan scores again in SA's 4-2 win yesterday, to take over the goal (10) and point (13) lead for team, Duncan has done this in 9 games, 3 fewer than the rest of his teammates have played.
