You can't duck hunt after dark; at least not legally. Guess if you're in GF you have to travel a ways to find water outside of the Red River. Ducks out west pulled out almost entirely last Friday night, when temps were in the teens. No replacements yet, it's a duck desert out here right now. No hockey tv tonight either, just more streaming audio, I guess.

Looks like it's the WABI tv broadcast from Maine (via satellite, I'd guess). Here's an email from Chris at the REA: Good to hear from you again. The Friday night game is a CSTV broadcast. Saturday night we have acquired the TV feed from the local CBS affiliate in Maine that is doing the game. That will be broadcast inside the arena here on the concourse TV's and in the Penalty Box. Below is my last weeks emailing with the REA (Chris) and my cable TV company (NCC, Ray). These type of changes have been going on frequently since NCC added FSSN last December. Very frustrating to expect a game and have it shut down due to late satellite?? chanages at REA. Even more frustrating that they never admit something was done. You can tell there is frustration at NCC also in Bernie's reply: The transmission parameters from the Ralph Englestad center were changed the day prior to the broadcast, from horizontal polarization to vertical. We received them last year using horizontal polarization (fixed) on our dish. We have no equipment to receive the satellite at present with vertical polarization. It is being worked on this week, to add the necessary equipment which will give us the flexability to receive either horizontal or vertical polarization from that satellite, whichever they choose to fit their whim. If they decide to change satellites, then we're more than likely screwed again. We're doing all we can to obtain and transmit those games. Please bear with us. CSTV on Friday night only, I believe, good to hear you've made it through all the storms.

Anyone know if Spirko is young enough to play in this year's WJC tourney? I know he's played in at least one, if not two, WJC's for Slovakia, would be nice to see him in there this year also.

Maybe both Chris and Jamie should be directed to this link to see all the problems "everyone" had on Saturday night. Something wasn't right, and it may take a year (like dataflix) for anyone to admit there is a problem.

Except for those with their own satellite systems as well as the cable tv FSSN providers, it was not a problem.

Our cable company carries FSSN, and, although they had the game in the online schedule for the past two weeks, on Friday put up a notice that the game would not on our cable TV since some changes were made at the REA on Friday that would forego the broadcast this weekend. Emailed the REA's cable guy, "Chris", and he returned my email saying it was news to him and he'd check with my cable co (NCC at Ray) to help them get things right. After all the problems all of you had, satellite and midco cable viewers, seems that something unusual was going on at GF.
