You're right the east regionals are in Worcester and Amherst. However, if the Sioux play up to expectations, they'll be in one of the west regionals.
You're best chance this year is to visit Boston when the Sioux play BC and Northeastern in a couple weeks.
Ryan Duncan 2nd star in a SA 6-3 win, 2 goals for Duncan, now tied for the team point lead
Watkins third star in 5-4 Vernon loss, Watkins with a goal and assist.
Kozek scores in Surrey's 4-1 win
Kozek's 8th, second on team in points
Will be big wins in pairwise, however, since Maine will no doubt do well in HE. Two quality road wins also, which will add bonus points. Now to beat BC and Northeastern on the next trip east.
Spirko, Murray, Stafford, Genoway, Jones, Greene, Schneider, Fuher, Prpich, McMahon, Zajac, I could go on. Very good cycling in the second and third periods.
Spirko is really quick and elusive. Can see a lot of Sejna in him; Sioux could be so lucky.
Not sure that hit was an elbow to the face as the broadcasters are claiming. Looked like the puck hit him in the face before the big hit.
Second replay looks like Greene may have given the forearm to the chin.
Maine broadcaster said Ronan held Stafford "just a second" too long and got that penalty. If that's the case the extra second was the "11th" second, as he had him for a long time (behind the net) while the Sioux buzzed in front of the net with the puck.
Is it hanson?, seems to have swallowed the whistle as Maine holding is going on in this period with no calls. This is starting to look normal, team trailing can take liberties while the team leading has to play clean or sit. Sioux have kept it clean.
Sioux did eliminate the stick checks (hooking) that period. Maine took holdings when the Sioux sustained the cycle.
THought the boys had learned after last night but they needed another first period lesson tonight.
I copied the url of the webcast from win media player, and opened the url in real player, then stopped the webcast in media player, and opened the TH audio cast in media player. Webcast file name is mms://wabi.global.synccast.com/wabi/live01
The replay showed Prpich sticked him between the legs from behind. Guess I'd fall down too, although it looked like a dive.
TH audiocast is slightly behind the wabi webcast, so listening to one while watching the other doesn't work well.
Giving the Maine dman a stick between the legs on a Sioux offensive chance, dumb. Looked like the dman dived to draw it, but the stick didn't need to be there.
CAn't say I've seen anything that would have been anything close to a penalty previous to this year. I understand the weanie hooking and cross check calls, cut these last 2 roughings were merely front of net cleanouts with the pucks frozen and Maine crashing the net. Hope dmen can do that, although they can't tonight.
Edit: whoops, guess Jones was a hook which I didnt' see, obviously it doesn't take much to be penalized.
The pregame on Maine's webcast is streaming better than dataflix ever did for me. I miss the TH play by play though. The pic on the webcast is much clearer than dataflix also.
