  1. You're working too late Dan If it were not so damn cold, I'd be at Estevan watching on TV.
  2. Russia gets a PP on a dive. US referee this game; first time he's been sucked in. Bergeron smokes Ovechkin, and Ovechkin goes offside, and goes through a bunch of antics to the referee. NOw Russia gets a goal on a shot from the point. 2-1 1st period complete.
  3. All streaming has gone down due to technical difficulties. Sounds like it's just come back up.
  4. Canada scores on their first shot (Getzlaf from Carter and Ladd), then kills a lengthy 5 on 3 Russian PP. Then Syvret from Coburn on a Canda PP makes it 2-0. Ovechkin can't score on Glass, although he's put one into an empty net well after a whistle. Looks like Canada will ignore his antics, and win the game instead.

    Duncan Commits

David is already at SSM, and plays on the Bantam team, part of the reason Jonathan returned to SSM this year.
  6. yes
  7. You're right, the sound on my cpu is so strange I didn't recognize TH.
  8. I'll try again. I'm getting a pair from thefourthperiod.com? Edit: Reconnected from the link/usahockey site, and got the same broadcast, not tim and tim.
  9. Although the usa site says Hennesy/O'Keefe, it's not them. US with 2 quick penalties, Czechs score on the 1st.
  10. Quite a few tickets left on ebay in the lower bowl, several that have no bids. Auctions on others with bids end 1 to 2 days from now? http://search.ebay.com/world-junior-ticket...osortpropertyZ1
  11. Hennesey and O'Keefe will do today's bronze medal game audiocast for USA Hockey.
  12. So the creators of this unknown bonus decided it would be unfair to teams that do not play in the WCHA
  13. What about the home wins vs MN and CC, MN and CC's road wins at GF are not listed either?
  14. BU sure got a good PWR bounce from the weekend, while Wisco headed the other direction after their stellar home tourney. Could someone explain why the Sioux do not get a couple "quality road wins" from their Maine sweep? Guess I found it, team must be in the top 15 RPI, and Maine is 16. These could possibly show up as quality wins if Maine improves. On the other hand, the Sioux have home wins vs. MN and CC, and those aren't listed as "quality" wins, why not?
  15. An interesting warning from the Canadians to IIHF and the Russians (Ovechkin). Do what you did in the US game, and there will be big problems, and something on the order of 1987 could happen again.
  16. Actually Vig didn't make the hit, Roy did, but didn't make it cleanly, thn fell over Vig, head first into the boards.
  17. Germany just beat Belarus, and Slovakia is beating the Swiss. Can't comprehend how th US lost to Belarus, even with the bad goaltending.

    Mavs @ Sioux

Not enough home weekends left to get anything less than a sweep against a bottom 5 team. Sioux are sitting in a precarious position of having a fair chance of finishing 6th or lower and having to travel for the WCHA playoffs. Playing down to one of those positions could easily place them on the power bubble. Down the road a ways, but after Wisco's tie to Yale and loss to Ferris, a sweep of Wisco is necessary also.
  19. Although next year's Sioux class appears to be very good, it is also very large, with the D being replaced in its entirety for the most part. They could do better than the 01-02 Sioux, but it's shaping up much the same. Keep hoping one of these classes doesn't miss a beat from juniors to college frosh, like the class of 81/82, but that doesn't seem to be happening for anyone in college hockey. The Sioux must improve in the second half and win this year, or it may be a couple or so until they are back in the mix.
  20. What a bunch of classless diving Russians. Hope Canada kicks their arse on Tuesday. Go Canada.
  21. Showed him during the TV broadcast; looked like he was in a suite.
  22. It's on both ESPN2 and TSN
  23. J. Toews also has a highly regarded brother on the SSM bantam team. J. Toews was the (first or second?) pick in the Canadian major junior draft, which says something about his abilities.
  24. UND was on Kessel's list when he came to WJ evaluation camp, but it may have just been the writer placing him there (not Kessel himself). Mich and MN are the likely finalists, the video here (3 Burning Questions) sounds like scouts would like him to choose MN over Wisco, no mention of Mich.
  25. Toews will be a Sioux (Heisenberg 1/1/05). Time to add his stats to this thread, anyone have a link?
