I certainly think more of them after beating Northwestern, than I did losing 2 FCS games to start the season. Not sure how good Northwestern is. What happens next week in Carbondale will likely be predicated on what happens today in Flagstaff. Go Hawks!
Hard to make the case Northwestern is a good football team at this point. So far this season they came from behind to beat an awful Nebraska team, lost to Duke and now are behind by 14 to an 0-2 FCS team.
Just going by the last few years and the pattern...big win, then a clunker. Hopefully this team proves it is different...until then NAU 31 UND 21. UND shoots itself in the foot with TO's and penalties.
Tommy running the ball was the difference in the game. If we have the usual 3 rushes for 1 yard( 2 TFL's), today we are wondering where we go from here, instead of planning the next win.
