That play, in that situation, against that opponent, would make college football "bad moves", of every level, for all time.

True "Bubba Ball" will mean we play well at home vs USD and SDSU and win one of those games, and play horribly on the road against the two ISU's and still manage to win one of those games...2-2 down the stretch, 7-5 overall, a bubble team, who may still end up one of the 24 teams. A first round loss in Albany or somewhere like that and then we will grow hopeful for 2025...Rinse and Repeat.

That was a painful season. Potentially the best team of the Bubba era, but found a new way to piss a game away almost every week.
-
I think you are correct. the game should have been over, but we managed to blow it. Up 28-17, 4th and 2 at MSU 29 yard line with 5:30 left in game. We ran a reverse where second runner was going to throw to Q(in at QB) and the exchange between Otis and ? was fumbled. MSU scores , Otis fumbles at MSU 25 and they drive to win it :15 seconds left.

3rd down trick play with significant lead @ Missouri State in 2021. All downhill in that game after that...
-
Watching that play again...on some level its hysterical and indicative of Bubba's reign at UND...2 point play for the win...a TE throwing a pass to an offensive lineman...and he wonders why it was not complete?
-
He does not attempt to block anyone...looks like he was the #2 option.
-
#67 would have caught 2 out of 10 tries...
-
You covered it...Classic Bubba...
-
He would have had to report(#), but he was technically eligible as last player on the LOS. Correct?
-
The Bubba era has been full of these types of blunders...
-
He was. OMG...that is even more pathetic then. Reminds me of the fumbled trick play at Missouri State in 2021... Maybe Belquist was supposed to catch it after being deflected off the hands of #67?
-
May have been, but I hope not. It looks like he would catch 50% of the balls thrown to him playing catch in the backyard.
-
I guess the QB and OC don't really matter?
-
They obviously had never practiced the play so Q knew what to do if the motion guy was covered by a defender... https://x.com/NCAA_FCS/status/1850350551399055774

Vintage Bubba yesterday in Youngstown.

Quick glance shows 19-39 after today...

JFC, just more of the same ol' Bubba...
-
Looking more and more like Danny was the problem all these years...

Stand up and Cheer! Good win. Danny who?

Football can be a wild game...momentum.

Not a great defensive scheme for the Griz in second half.
