UND officially reports for fall camp today and begins practice tomorrow morning. The initial practice schedule has been set leading up to the opener out at Idaho State on Sept 4th. I heard he's interested in joining the Army or Navy. Wish he would have stuck it out and went after but best of luck to the young man.

This right here. Hopefully he stays healthy and we get to see what he can do. I'm liking the added weight these guys are putting on. Would really like to see Lickfeldt and Pieere put on a little more but its a step in the right direction.

I like the way you think there. Every time we get a nice winter I get kind of scared what's coming the next year.

Tempting.....but a Nov 20 game at an outdoor stadium might not be the best time. Will go to a game there one day just might not be this year.

I think with Belquist out we'll see a lot out of Marcus Preston. From what little we saw of him last year I was certainly impressed, We all know what we're gonna get out of the brockstar but this team needs another weapon out there and Preston and/or Jack Wright should be a good pick. Would like someone with more speed. Cornerback is stacked right now and with Holm back again it should be a excellent group. I still want to see Caleb Nelson or Sammy Fort have a breakout year since they were highly recruited. The NG posistion is the biggest need for this team. If Orlando or beach are healthy one of these two guys needs to step up in a big way.

I also saw some FCS Nation Radio ranking on twitter yesterday. Seems SIU is the new UNI at #4. UND came in at #11

Thinking maybe the top 4 should be JMU, SHSU, SDSU and NDSU. Excited to see a full year of football. Interested to see how the Montana schools are gonna do with a year off of football.

Looking back this was a great season for the program! Many highs and lows but the highs outweigh the lows for sure. Excited for the fall and to be back to normal with full stadiums and TAILGATING!!!!! That said there are some thoughts on the game yesterday and the season as a whole the needs to be addressed this fall if UND wants to take the next step at beating the teams like JMU and NDSU. Geaux sioux pretty much said it all. What we knew before the JMU game was that they were gonna run the ball and we needed to stop it. That did not happen and it didn't seem like UND was prepared for it. This 3-4 defense works wonders at times (SIU & SDSU) but against great running game it just doesn't (NDSU games and JMU game). When Holinka was taking over I was hoping they were gonna go away with it and go with a 4-3. I maybe wrong but if that defense worked so good everyone would be using it. Im just not a believer in the 3-4 defense and I think that was a big part of the loss against JMU was not being able control the line of scrimmage.

Couple things I noticed from watching highlights. QB- Tommy had a great game. No turnovers and no sacks with a couple touchdowns. What else can you ask for from the young man. RB- We saw more Gee then Skokna? Is he a little banged up? Seems like Danny has a lot of love for Gee but skokna has had the better year. Mitchell is going to have a bright future here if he stays healthy. From the few plays I saw his acceleration and speed are going to be dangerous. Happy he is here! WR- Nice to see Maag get a touchdown pass early. Wish Richter could have came down with that ball when he fumbled. Too bad for Bo with the injury. He will be missed but also will be back and have a great career at UND. OL- Best OL UND has ever seen. 1 sack so far this year and it was 1 yard away from even being a sack. Didn't even seem like UND was missing one of their best linemen on saturday. Defense was almost perfect on Saturday with 8 sacks, 1 INT and 185 yards of total offense. Seems they only time MSU was doing good was picking the zone apart at times. Basically when the QB wasn't getting pressured. Special Teams- Another great game for the special teams. Havn't been a fan of Kostitch for years but he sure has turned that group around. Still would like better kicking and punting. JMU is going to be a totally different opponent. Bubba and the staff need to come up with a near perfect game plan for this team. Stop their run game and get ours going and I think UND can win this game!
