How did they get so much worse so fast? The coaching staff must work pretty hard to make their players worse each week. Tough to do

NORTH DAKOTA VS. wmu GAMEDAY THREAD (FRIDAY)

Their one-timer shots from the point can be read like a book from a mile away and 5 seconds ahead of time. No natural scorer ability and no creativity in any of the players. I smell another missed ncaa with this crap show. -

But...we didn’t score and it didn’t go the other way and it hasn’t for 3 years. Lit up? Yes! By everyone other than UND. Absolutely Horse S performance by UND. Hell bowing green scored TEN on them in two games -

Worst UND performance since the Michigan state home series 2 years ago. Berry has a lot of work to do to keep his job. This team gets lit up by EVERYONE and UND gets shut out. Says it all -
Does that help or hurt UND's chances?

My top reasons for empty seats would be- 1. Many social "fans" stand in the hallways and bars during the game 2. MATCHUPS- I love the NCHC to death, but it's honestly hard to get super excited about yearly Western-Michigan series, Miami series, Omaha series and even CC series IMO. On top of that, the non-conference games could be a lot more exciting. Drop Canisius, Niagra, Mankato, both Alaska teams, St. Lawrence etc. It might be tough but I would love to have a few BC, BU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Harvard, Maine, Providence games mixed in more often. Look at the success of the Wisconsin series. The union series had me more interested than normal as well. 3. Missing superstar goal scorers recently 4. Too strict of rules for Student Section 5. Too expensive food and drinks 6. Parking (fix #2 and people will fight through this problem) 7. More music and crowd activities and less ADs.

Secondary market too expensive?!? Show some balls and ask for a lower price or just show patience and get them on facebook, craigslist, Bisman a day before the game or even out front right before the games. Ignore what every prideful fan says about the demand, there are ALWAYS way more tickets available than there are buyers (outside of goof series). People list them high originally but I guarantee you can get Lowerbowl tickets for under $25 apiece and Upperbowl tickets for under $15-20 a piece if you shop around and actually barter a little bit. I've ALWAYS had a tough time selling tickets but absolutely no problem buying cheap tickets. I usually have to choose between 4-5 options I find when shopping around. Demand is way down whether UND hockey fans like it or not. So things being too expensive is not a problem, unless people are stupid and make it their own problem. Hell, I've seen people hand out extra free tickets right before puck drop multiple times

This site would be a lot better if it had a Cow College filter. I run into enough of them in person, now they're overflowing every football forum site known to man with their blabbering BS and arrogance.

I know every year has different circumstances but when UND was 7-4 with an FBS vistory and had a conference affiliation and didn’t get in, it was pretty clear UND wasn’t a highly respected team. Now 7-4 without either of those after a 3-8 season, I think they have a less than 1% chance of getting in. Even if on paper they probably should , the politics will always keep them out when they’re on the fence.

Let me save you all a ton of time and false hope- they’re not going to give UND a spot...no matter what. And I’m honestly okay with that. Yes I’m disappointed with how quickly this strong season turned sour with the snap of a finger but a playoff appearance (and most certainly a bad loss) will only solidify this coaching staff another year of life. It would probably protect any and all of the coaches their positions another season...and yes I would even guess Rudy. Not getting a spot will result in a decent chance at some sort of coaching staff shake up and that would get me excited for next season. A playoff appearance and no changes for next season would probably prompt me to cancel my season ticket plans. These players deserve better coaching. Maybe just keep bubba for recruiting

Bad taste in my mouth that has me disinterested in this game and the rest of the season.

You really think Boltman will leap frog Kett and Zim? I think Kett has the potential but got turned into a robot by the coaches. He got worse as the season went on. I still remember seeing him those first 3 games taking risks, making athletic moves and making plays. Now the last few he doesn't really do much of anything.

Hey! What do you mean, Minot is surrounded by Surrey and Burlington? -

But it goes to show how big of a deal this game was by drawing fans out of every corner of the country to make it there. The uniqueness of this type of game is going to attract every type of fan and regardless of where they live. -

I agree with this for the most part. I understand why they did what they did (keeping it exclusive and expensive), and things worked out exactly like they were hoping for and it was a great success. I think they made the right call, and now this Vegas game is serving as a great setup for an even bigger success in Nashville. I think this Nashville game can be equally successful, but with a different style. Less exclusiveness feel, lower % of TRUE hardcore UND fans, cheaper tickets, but MUCH higher attendance. So if they sold all 7,500 tickets in 30 seconds, how many more did they miss out on? On top of that, they now have this extremely successful Vegas game spreading the hype. They have every person that attended Vegas chomping at the bit to get tickets for the next game, they have all the people that tried to get tickets and failed making sure they don't fail at getting them for this next game, and they also have all the people that didn't think about going to the game pissed that they missed out and chomping at the bit to make it to this next one. In my personal experience, I was discouraged from buying tickets right off the bat when I heard how few seats there were and knew it would be an expensive and a battle to get tickets. So me and every hockey fan I know that didn't go are already talking about going for sure to this next one. I'm sure that's a common theme for all UND fans, not just GF and ND based UND fans. The demand is there no doubt. Even if prices are high for this game, I think they'll sell 20,000 tickets no problem...and honestly, that's probably without even including Penn State fans. Look at the 2016 championship game...there were what, 19,500 tickets sold for that game and that was a last minute purchase and trip for a lot of those people? If you can plan this out over a year in advance, you're going to get A LOT of people in those seats. Plus I honestly think Penn State probably has a stronger following than the goofs do currently. Not only that, but I bet they'll get a decent amount of alum making the drive to Nashville with how many thousands of them are scattered throughout the Mid-western workforce. If cow state can get 18,000 fans for a regular season game or whatever their brick barn holds, I bet UND can easily get 20k down to Nashville for an epic weekend game no problem. I know I'll be there! -
It would take quite a chain of events for UND to not get in at 8-3, especially when they're sitting at #25 at 5-3
-
And a poor team at that. They should fall out of the top 25 again as much as that'll hurt the voters
-
They will capitalize on the situation and drop UND out of the top 25.

It's actually a little disappointing the goofs didn't have a better showing. Might've created an even rowdier crowd -
