Century and BHS tonight. Should be a good one. I was pretty disappointed with how Century did in the Holiday tournament but maybe they'll bounce back tonight in their biggest west game of the year. DL and Davies should be a good one as well if Devils Lake can continue playing like they have against the big dogs recently. If they do play up to the competition again, they should give Davies a run for their money.

He must be getting his feet under him now that he has a few years under his belt. It sure seems like he has figured out how to get the most out of a young and inexperienced team this season. Pretty impressive! I'll be even more impressed if they don't play down to the competition from here on out after these recent showings. I may have judged him too quickly 2 years ago when DL ended up losing like 11 of their last 12 games including 4-5 teams that they had beaten earlier in the year. I think injuries took a toll on that already shallow lineup but it still seemed like a good time to point at the coach a little bit. Did anyone hear what happened in the Central-EGF game? They must've had a few open netters or something because I'm pretty sure it was a tie game or at least 1 goal game going into the 3rd with Central leading in shots.

Playing Davies on the road will be a big test. Maybe these close games have given them some confidence. And yes I agree their goalie is keeping games within reach.

RR pulled their goalie and scored with 22 seconds left to tie the game at 2 then scored early into OT.

Politics, politics, politics. When countries like the US and Canada have to bottle neck thousands of elite players into ONE team, they have to turn to big names and politics to make cuts. I'm willing to bet the USA could produce 2 additional teams that would be evenly competitive with this current US team and I bet Canada could create at least 3 more. The first name that always comes to mind with the politics of picking these teams is Kieffer Bellows. Slow feet, no defense, bad attitude, nasty temper, and penalty hound...BUT his last name is BELLOWS!

WOW, Grafton took RR to overtime last night. Poor goalie performance by RR looks to be the reasoning behind it as they got out shot badly.

I think Century will drop 1 or maybe even both GF teams in the holiday tournament. I'm anxious to see how they match up.

I did not see the game but it sounds like DL showed some fight and have themselves a gem of a goalie...as DL always seems to have. Central outshot them 19-4 in the final period which threw the SOG advantage nearly to 3 to 1. Maybe their inexperience is causing them to be playing up and down to the competition. I think they'll keep improving as their young guys keep settling in. The same thing happened in this matchup last year when central went to DL. They had their closest game of their undeafted season in a one goal game where johnson was held pointless for the only time that entire season.

Imagine that team you saw last night beating teams 11-0, 11-2 and 10-3. Yikes

Wahpeton/breck is 5-1 in their Minnesota schedule so far, outscoring their opponents 47-17. Tonight they got yoked on by Jamestown(5th in the west) 10-2. Like I always say...Minnesota always has 3x as many horrible hockey teams as they do elite teams.

I usually enjoy watching NDSU lose more than I like watching UND win.
