Random thoughts: 1. Jamernik was really good last night. He played the body and helped set the tone early. Berg and Strinden too. 2. It was good to hear Blake praise his teammates, especially Kunz, for his goal. 3. UND is second in the nation in fewest penalty minutes taken per game. Credit to the coaching staff for getting the boys to be disciplined. 4. There were still a few blind backhand passes that resulted in turnovers. A turnover is to DU’s offense as spinach is to Popeye.

On his goal, Ness’s release looked exceptional.

I tried to read Wodon’s piece but couldn’t get past the fourth paragraph. It’s just word salad in defense of the status quo—with the absurd suggestion that host schools only play in the regional that they’re hosting if they are a #1 or #2 seed. Schlossman on the other hand is doing yeoman’s work on this topic.

Still have room for improvement—particularly puck management—but gotta be encouraged by the overall performance this weekend.
