  1. I'm leaving work, have to catch up to most of you guys. Redoing my pridiction. UND 31-30.
  2. It's day break here in Grand Forks, The Season is OPEN. After absorbing a couple of weeks of FB coaches jabber, sports writer's news, wife's constant claim UND wins, and expert advise on here, I feel real good about today's game, . The odds-makers blew this one, the game is going to be a lot closer than most think, UND has a shot in this season's opener. I made a bad prediction on this thread a few days ago and I'm going to change it this afternoon.
  3. Army is the greatest team ND ever played, when they went 9-1-1. Army's only loss was to national champion Notre Dame 7-6. And, butt-hurt back at you.
  4. That's the ones! Pretty Sharp! There were some pretty Die Hard UND guys in those Jackets.
  5. We played one of the best teams in collegiate football in 1930. The 1930 Army Cadets football team represented the US Military Academy. The Cadets compiled a 9–1–1 record, shut out seven of their eleven opponents, and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 268-22. In the annual Army Navy game, the Cadets defeated the Midshipmen by a 6-0 score. The Cadets beat the University of North Dakota 33-6. They tied Yale 7-7. The team's only loss was by a 7-6 score against an undefeated national champion Notre Dame team. Two Army players were recognized on the on the All-American team. Of the 22 points given up by Army, 13 were scored by UND and UND.
  6. November 1st, 1930 at West Point, NY. SIOUX which were Flickertails a month earlier lost 33 - 6, Army went 9-1-1 that year. Army's one loss was to National Champion Notre Dame 7-6. SD played them in 1929. same score but Army went 6-4-1
  7. Most aspects of the game favor Utah, however we may have the edge on experience. If these butterflies show up for the first game of the season, could be a close game. If this Ferris Wheel is still giving rides in the second half, we could pull it out?
  8. This game is going to be louder and wilder than being on a Ferris Wheel. And, if anyone gets the butterflies, it'll be players from your team.
  9. Should be well oiled then and will be listening for you on TV.
  10. UND and REA could jointly be moving along very slowly to partailly appease most. A delicate job in balanceing the transition to the new logo. The hawk on the jerseys is another step in the transition.
  11. If we loose by this 35, so be it, we take the $450G to bank, and look forward to winning a bunch of games and to a great season. If we loose by 20, the same. If the game is close for the most part, the same, and we have a little more confidence. But it will still be one day at a time!
  12. Ya, this poster has had his fingers doing keystrokes with quite a few unies, and logos.
  13. Did the Big Sky patch give it away!
  14. UND plays with Utah till middle of the third quarter, then Utah's depth shows it's advantage. UND losses 37 - 20. No serious injuries for either team.
  15. Salt Lake City RICE-ECCLES STADIUM Thursday 5:30 MT 46,000 fans expected TV: PAC-12 NETWORKS
  16. Ir seems like you missed the point of my post, I didn't respond to his post, I responded to your post.
  17. They also highhandedly beat the Bizon by 10.
  18. That game still hurts, so many things went wrong in the last 19 minutes, or if just a few would of went the other way. Hopefully is an experience that helps build the team.
  19. And if my season tickets would of cost $100 more because the goofs ticket was $199, I would of still bought them, like most people. Now I paid early in the summer for my season tickets not knowing that the goofs game was $99. I don't know if that was even announced prior to paying for your tickets. I did know the tickets package price was increasing. Must add here, that there would have to be a point if ticket prices get to high that the demand would drop. Bizon football had like 700 requests that didn't get season tickets, with 12,100 season tickets sold, those numbers were in the GF Herald a couple weeks ago. I wonder what the number of UND MH season ticket requests was that didn't get tickets because they were sold out. Now in both cases that is the allotment of season tickets that get sold out, there are also individual seats sold later, student section, visitors section, and standing room seats sold later. All this kind of brings me to a taught I've had for a while over all the blusterous jabber from our friends to the south how they have 15,000 or even 25,000 fans that want seat tickets to their football games and that they should build a 45,000 seat facility. And, by the way, what an arrogant and obnoxious bunch, can't wait for them to slip and slide. Just had to throw that in there. Back on task, so take the 19,000 that show up, add the 25,000 that supposedly want tickets and you end up with 44,000 people. Dreamers? Moo U has an average of about 3 tickets sold to each individual season ticket requester. That equals about 2,000 fans waiting for season tickets. They also have people waiting for individual game tickets, which I've heard is more realistically like 5,000. Now I would assume, that the people waiting for season tickets are in the bunch of 5,000 waiting for individual game tickets and maybe, maybe they then have 5,000 waiting for tickets, which is still too high of an estimate IMO. Anyway, back to Hawkee!!!!!! I wonder what theses numbers are for UND MH? How many season tickets? How many season ticket request refused? Average # of season ticket seats per request? How long (and how many games) does it take to sell out individual seats and standing room seats? Are sellouts, just barely sellouts? How much $ will this MN series bring in with ticket sales?
