  1. It's nice to see that dot back. Thanks Jim. You're the Man.
  2. Not sure what to call the problem I'm having. I'm logged in but when I go to a current tread I don't go to the last post that was posted since my last visit. I have to go to the last page & scan through the posts to get to the latest for me. It just seemed to start this week. I don't think I did something to disable tracking cookies because this also happens on my work computer. Did something change & I missed it? Help Jim!!! It really is a pain to scan through old posts to get to the most current one. As always, Thanks Jim.
  3. There is no way the Hawks go after Parise. They had the chance to draft him & passed him by for a defensemen. After the Hawks were dumb enough to pass him up, the Devils traded up to get him. I think he stays put. Hawks couldn't handle 2 captains on the their team. Especially 2 college players from UND. Kane's not going anywhere. Have you been to a Hawk's game & seen all the Kane jersey's? Money talks. The Hawks have put up with a lot from players nowhere near as popular as Kane. Plus he puts up big numbers that pull in the fans. He would have to really implode before they get rid of him. Damn that modern technology that lets everyone keep an eye on him.
  4. Although I personally don't have any skin in the game, my favorite hockey player does. Our earliest experience with the Sioux was in the late 90's. He went to a Sioux game in Milwaukee with a hockey bud. Sioux won. His first comment to me was "I love the way they play the game & I sure would like to play for them." Many twist & turns & comittments & decommits later, he fortunately landed up at UND. My first experience at the Old Ralph was unbelievable. I expected a lot of hootin & hollerin & warcries, but was extremely surprised at the respect that was shown for the Sioux name. After the first Sioux goal that was scored, what I thought was the tomahawk chop turned out to be the sieve chant. I came away from the game with as much respect for the students as they showed for the name. We had many fun visits to GF. Loved the people & how they treated the players. They were even very nice to the parents. It was an experience I will always remember. After that first game, I was hooked. Still a Sioux fan & will be for a long time. Weekends are spent watching the games & listening to Tim on the radio. I have stayed out of the name controversy but can see both sides of the issue as an outsider. Really hated to see the Sioux name go but understand the reasons why. Maybe some day in the future things will change & I can cheer my grandsons on as "Fighting Sioux".
  5. Is that why there is going to be a class action suit against the NFL by the retired football players?
  6. I'm sure this came up in his speech. Hak didn't say much, but whatever it was, it was brilliant. Go Fighting Sioux!!!!
  7. Undoubtly the most dramatic comeback I have ever seen in any sport. It made it so much better that it was the Fighting Sioux burying the Goofs at the end. Whatever Hak said during that timeout to get the guys going should be immortilized. From now on, if anybody starts a "Fire Hak" topic or bads mouth him, Jim should immediately ban them for life. This could be the spark to ignite a sweep to #8.
  8. #16 my favorite Sioux # MacMillan
  9. You forgot me.
  10. DaveK???
  11. Some people don't realize how lucky they are that they can even watch the games. I would have given my left *** to be able to watch home games in the early 00's when my favorite player was at UND. I know things improve & planes have jet engines now. I felt lucky that the Omaha Lancers was one of the first teams to broadcast games on the web. You had to be one of the first hundred or so to log on or you were out of luck because of limited band width available. If you lost your dial up connection during the game you were SOL & probably couldn't get back on. I think it's pretty cool to see games from around the country & local commercials. The local advertisers are making it possible to get the games on TV & in between those commercials you get to watch the Sioux.
  12. Not a big BB fan but watched parts of the Sioux-Jayhawk game on ESPNU on Saturday. Didn't see or hear of any protesters during the game against the Sioux name. The KU announcers didn't shy away from using Sioux name during their broadcast. I even think there were real commercials on TV. Saw plenty of Sioux fans in the crowd proudly displaying the Logo. Maybe someone didn't let KU know about the Sioux being hostile & abusive because the game wasn't cancelled.
  13. Don't you think sometimes players don't let on to how much pain they are in just to get back in the line up. Not saying that's the case but it won't be the last time that may happen. Sometimes they may feel good in practice but game situations are a lot different. I doubt the coaches would jeprodize a player just to get them back in the game. Look how long Chay & other guys sat out to heal up properly.
  14. Thanks Jim. That was a pain to find the last one especially when there were multi pages since the last visit. As always, "you're the man"
