  1. Have you tried to contact the UND Athletic Department or football office.

    Playing to win

Sometimes you can get away with running a play behind a couple players or a certain side of the o line, but that isn't always the case. The defense could blitz off the backside, or the gap your trying to run through and blow the play up. I don't care how good the lineman is he can't block multiple people at the same time. Each team has 11 guys on the field and if one player doesn't get his job done or is beat on a play it may not work out. Football is the ultimate team sport, if one guy of the 11 screws up the play could be destroyed. That is the main reason the offense usually takes longer to come together in early season, because everyone needs to be on the same page getting the job done. This requires a lot of time and reps running the plays, so most offenses tend to gradually get better as the season goes on.

The main problem with that is a smart DB will just knock the ball down instead of going for the pick.
  4. He was listed as 185, but I think that was pushing it.

I don't think it is a bad call either way. If we pin Pitt at the 1 yard line and stuff um, everybody thinks it's a great call. I really don't think it was wrong to punt, and I would have been fine with it if he made the choice to go for it.
  6. I really felt that was one of several key plays in the game as well. To march down the field and turn the ball over really hurts momentum.
  7. Thats what I thought while watching the game. Did that punt in the first half actually hit a UND player?
  8. I think the calls had little to do with the outcome. The fumble and missing wide open recievers was the main difference in the game IMO. Belmore looks great sometimes but needs to develop some consistancy. If that happened today, UND defense isn't on the field nearly as long and they could be going to alabama. Pitt is a very good team, but I didn't think they were nearly as good as advertised. Great season for UND, lets hope the Sioux get another crack at Pitt next year.
  9. The two previous road playoff games where sent out on an Analog signal for a Sat. feed, but the home playoff game was not. What are the chances that this road playoff game will be the same as the first two? I want to know if I am going to be able to watch the game this weekend, because the only way I can is if the game goes out on an analog feed.
  10. Wow, the thread today wasn't that bad at all as far as being negative IMO. UND took advantage of some opportunities and won the game. Most of the negative your refering to was a post made well after the game, and was pretty well discredited by other posters. Would you say UND played a perfect game? I really doubt it, and I don't see a anything wrong with someone pointing out a few problems as long as it is in a constructive way. That being said the UND coaches obviously take care of those things (mistakes) every week. In any sport things go wrong and don't work out as planned. People make mistake and thats part of life and football, I just hope UND can eliminate more mistakes because it give a much better opportunity of win. A couple weeks ago I posted about Coach Mussmans play calling. 4 situations during the game UND went to 5 WR's on 3rd and short. Do you think that is good play calling? UND didn't convert any of those short yardage situations, the passing game that day just wasn't consistant enough for those type of play calls. When the game went to OT and UND needed short yardage, they brought in a heavy set and let the big boys take care of it. It worked and UND won and moved on, I understand it is a hell of a lot easier to second guess and play call when you are not actually mixed up in the game. That is his job as a professional to see those things and adjust as quickly as possible, when I made my intial post it was before the OT session and UND hadn't adjusted yet.
  11. I listened to part of that game, not a whole lot of defense being played. NW has a good defense, but not nearly as good as the UND's or GV's. I think it's will be very tough to win in Pittsburg. The defense will be fine, but the offense is key. If the O steps up UND should win, if not it was a good year.
  12. How was the officiating today? I noticed on a few other boards that the GV fans were really bitching about it. Was it bad or just fans cheering for their team and not being very objective?
  13. Not going to happen, Pitt State hasn't lost and has a stronger SSI
  14. Very funny, and thanks for the updates.
  15. I can't see or hear the game, but I hope they give Bowenkamp a shot to play the 4th quarter.
  16. Did UND turn the ball over in the 1st half, if so how many times and what situations resulted from it.
  17. No movement and no sound but I got a picture to pop up on the GVSU webcast, looks like the sioux are driving.
  18. Awesome, thanks for the updates I was hoping to watch the game today at a bar but couldn't because the game only went out on a digital Sat. feed.
  19. I wonder if it's possible to just pull the audio and not the picture off the webcast?
  20. Someone want to help me out with some updates on the game, I can't view the webcast, connection is just not fast enough.
