I have to agree. Being with USD, SDSU and NDSU > staying in the Big Sky. I would miss, however, being in the same conference as Montana and Montana State.

This discussion about going to the Summit makes me uncomfortable. The Big Sky took us in (as an odd 13th member in football) when we needed a D1 conference. I always thought that the Dakota schools would eventually join us in the BSC rather than us leaving BSC to join a less prestigious league (my opinion) like the Summit.

I want to see us throw the ball to Coyd on 1st down. He has some serious size (and great hands, hopefully!)

I was approached directly by Bubba and another rural business leader to jump on board with this promotion to increase student attendance at games. Our company is one of the sponsors. UNDBIZ thinks it's a bad idea, WOW!

The vote might have been different if the last 3 standing options were Fighting Hawks, Fighting RR and Fighting Nodaks. I believe keeping Fighting in the name was an advantage for FH.

I listened to the radio coverage. Very proud of the effort from this team and coaching staff. I like going for the win on the road.

A military theme should have been considered. At least that would have some tie in to our ND military bases.

I didn't realize that there were anal bean counters on this forum. So the other half were positive so my batting average is 50% positive for UND. I don't think that's bad. Just remember, we've gone from best (Sioux) to worst (lame bird) and were told we couldn't be just ND! Here's an idea for you. Start a new thread calling for only positive comments on the new name. I won't post there.
