I was hoping for us to the end the streak next year after Bison get #6 this year. A year earlier would be great but probably not realistic. I think Bubba is another year away (maybe 2) from having equal talent on the field as the Bison.
I will restate my post and say simply this: 1st line scoring will be down compared to last year (Caggs production will not be covered) so lines 2, 3 and 4 will have to score more.
This is a bold statement but it could happen. Jost is a very good addition to help offset the loss of Nick S. Can Gersich cover the lost production of Caggs? Maybe not. The real key is do we get bigger production #'s out of returners Pogo, Wilkie, and the Flying Finn and decent scoring from Fr. Yon and Hoff?
Upon getting back to the office after helping with sugar beet harvest, I have 2 very nice thank you letters from the 1st two winners of the Bubba Bucks $5,000 scholarship drawings at UND home football games. As previously stated, my company is a sponsor.
It's a good comment. Show your support for the new name or you going to wear your Fighting Sioux stuff like the majority of the rest of us at the game tonight?
OK you can lead us forward. Wear your new FH jersey (or Tshirt) and FH hat to the UND hockey game tonight. Show us all your incredible dance moves on the Dance for your Dinner promo (to be captured on the big screen at the Ralph)!!
This team is going to be fun to watch. Great to have several back that could have gone to NHL (Cam J, Brock B, Tucker P). Pogo has a motor and still has a lot of upside potential to show this year IMO. Gersich and the Flying Fin should show big improvement in scoring from last year. Yon was really a nice surprise to see on Saturday night. I was impressed with Colton P. Brock is still a sniper and Jost was as advertised. I hope to see more out of Wilkie as the season goes along.
I won't have a problem with UND fans that are wearing the FH merchandise. I did have a problem with a certain Bison fan sitting behind me at men's basketball last winter that made an ass of himself squacking like a sick seagull.
