Haha, nobody deserves CTE but boy did he cry wolf. Rewatched Brink's dive. Wasn't as egregious as I remembered, but it was definitely not as impactful as his reaction suggested. At least he got up and kept playing.

Objective as possible opinion: Hain's first was a 2 and the second was a 5. Control your legs more when airborne, especially as a repeat offender. The late one was dirty and clearly out of frustration. Had already turned it off so only saw replay, but didn't look as bad as the scuttlebuzz had me expecting. It's happening a lot with us lately, and that's not a good reputation to have. Glad Hain got benched after the the second one.

Was going to say this. He makes some world class plays but he also has some turnovers and whiffs that will not fly with an NHL coach. His deke is fun to watch.

Do you mean capacity wise? Sure hope pro teams don't use facilities like oceanside for their practice rink. Vegas built locker rooms for UNLV at theirs. Sounds like UW will be using the Kraken facility, too bad it's not closer to campus.

They used the grant from the NHL to explore adding hockey, but their endowment is smaller than the start up costs for ASU's team. Meanwhile Vandy can sneak in hockey as a line item in their budget and no one would bat an eye, and the Preds practice facility is as close to their campus as the Ralph and Mariucci are to their respective universities.

Sorry to hear that, he was enthusiastic about the prospect of colleges adding hockey. Lindenwood is an exciting school to add for a litany of reasons. 1) using NHL practice facility that is near campus (looking at you Vanderbilt) 2) building upon a women's program (looking at you Syracuse) 3) ACHA program hosting NCAA tournaments to raise funds for the move to NCAA (looking at you Navy) 4) location near USHL footprint 5) South of mason dixon and west of Mississippi, two areas with not enough representation in college hockey Academically it is not a good school (C+ on Niche, only Cloud has a grade that bad in NCHC, and is probably the only other one that bad in D1) but it brings college hockey to a new metro.

Looking forward to DU not making the tournament.

AIC barely squeaked out wins against LIU, who lost to a club team, and Air Force, who are objectively the worst team in college hockey this season. Only one AHA team should get in, whoever wins the tournament.

I'd say Pinto deserves a cover too. They are doing any school requested in the thread, lots of good ones.

There's no doubt they are benefitting from riding our coattails, and that gives them a reason to skate harder and finish checks against UND. Their ascent is good for the college game, too, showing how prime their locale is for recruiting in the USHL to the other big state schools in the area. When they sweep us in the Ralph or win a natty I'll pay them more attention.
