Lindenwood is right near the airport with a good arena for hosting tournaments, ans further demonstrates the viability of college teams using practice facilities. Vanderbilt, SJSU, NJIT and anything else in immediate proximity of them. And of course, ASU hosting an NHL team...

Regarding Calder: easy come, easy go. We've seen quite a few transfers re-enter the portal after one year. Jandric's brother, Bo Hanson, Slava Demin, Dylan St. Cyr, Grant Loven, and these are just off the top of my head. Once you cross a line, it's less daunting to do it again, and considering how much a majority of hockey players move, travel and change teams growing up, it's not a big deal for them. That likely comes down to leadership (Senden was highly regarded as a C prior to his tenure), and the individuals selected. Ford especially seemed like a good transfer, not to take anything away from the rest. Felt the same way about Michaud and Jones.
