Jost is now riding a bus around the AHL on a rehab assignment. Been injured since beginning of season. We shall see if he ever gets a chance to get strong enough for an NHL career.
-
Thanks just watched it. Was at game but didn’t see the play. Absolutely can’t believe what was called after looking at the replay. I agree that player was already injured and couldn’t take any kind of hit. This league will eat Monty up eventually and NHL would eat him up in a week.
-
Can somebody post a replay of this hit please
-
He would invariably say that when playing UND his Gophers better strap things on tight because they are playing a team that comes out every time with a purpose and a mission. Always something like that. I think he respected us greatly.
-
Borgstrom needs to be looking around for where the next hit is coming from.
-
Monty and his team have a very superior attitude. But they are highly skilled and it will take an old fashioned hockey game to soften them up.

Bad words and finger pointing.
-
CHN reports that Motzko and Monty had words in the handshake line Saturday night.

Kawaguchi not ready at this time. Seems too slow to me. Not sure what he was supposed to be but seems like very average at best prospect.
-
Very selfish play on JTs part. No room for this in Sioux hockey. JT needs some serious time in a suit

Team that controls the puck wins. That would be the Tigers

I thought home team played well last night but Goofers defensive coverage was as good as I have ever seen out of them. They are either very very good or we are very very easy to cover.

I talked to him at a UND pregame alumni party several years ago during the height of the naming transition. I think he handled it about as well as he could, considering there were 10 guys standing around him asking pointed questions. I kind of partially blamed him for the loss of the name at the time, but looking back at it, there would have had to be a higher power than him to get anything done with either the Tribe or the NCAA. Kelley had no desire to get involved in that fray and didn't have the skills to do anything about it anyway. Faison has accomplished alot during a very troubled time and I wish him nothing but the best in retirement. If the next guy does as well as him, we will be in good shape.

Is there a team roster posted anywhere at this point? -
Sorry Ottowa cut Vandy
-
Avs send Grimaldi down to San Antonio again. I thought he had earned a spot on the big club - guess not. Ausmus was "cut" but I'm not sure if he ended up in San Antonio or if they will put him with the Eagles. Maybe neither. Haven't been able to track that situation. Quebec cut Vandevelde. Wonder if his NHL time is up.

Has Schmaltz been getting any time for the Blue Notes in the playoffs?
-
Saw in the paper this morning that Ladue was assigned to the Kings AHL team. Is their AHL team still playing? I know the Kings are not. Any idea what this means, if anything?

I've been carrying this missed Simonson play around in my head for 2 weeks. Thanks for refreshing it for me.

NHL could contribute some money as compensation for our "NHL Development Program" at the Ralph and that could fund the WH program.

The Avalanche are such a mess. I hate to see Jost go into that situation. Bad owners, bad GM, and rookie coach. And its been going on for awhile. They are at the salary cap and have some guys signed up to long-term deals who can't play dead in the NHL. Don't know what he can do except stay until his signing deadline is passed, but that isn't going to happen. He is not ready for the NHL though. Especially with a bad team where he is thrown into the fire immediately.
