My friend, one must think long term. Many Sioux fans have been Sioux fans for a long time. Yes, the Gophers can be fun to watch on TV. They play great hockey against MANKATO, you wouldn't have said that last weekend when UM got swept at home by this team, CC. A few years ago and possibly a few years down the road that may not be the same depending on players, coaches. You should have already known that the Gophers are in a "major market" and have most of their games televised by "professionals." You think better people should cover the Sioux hockey games, call up your local KVLY or WDAY and tell them to start producing some games. They could possibly do better, and no one is stopping them. UND or WDAZ does not have a contract to broadcast the games. And yes the Warroad/Moorehead game should be one of the greatest HS games in awhile.

Hey Gopher fan, 7 titles compared to 5. Nothing else matters. It's NCAA championships, and you cannot argue with it. Have fun arguing "playoff appearances, etc." And have a good day.

There is no room for fairweather fans in the Great Sioux Nation. We only "complain" to make the team better. That is one of the great things about cheering for the Sioux, the low budget small market team that is often better than "americas team" the Gophers, that everyone cheers for in the "state of hockey."

Yeah but you're use to it by now, you cheer for Duluth. Sorry but last year was a fluke, back to mediocracy.

Sioux make other goalies look good, Gophers make them look foolish. UND this game is making the CC goalie look good. UND has had their scoring chances, but none of them of any real quality.

Sioux audios working fine for me. Turn the radio on.

I can't believe they redid the ice at the Xcel for Mankato. 6-2 MINNESOTA.

Last week people said Smaby was a disappointment and should be sat, and how Blais, unlike Hakstol, wouldn't allow that to happen, and he'd be riding the pine... What do you know. He's riding the pine tonite.

I have been thinking the same for awhile. We are getting good HS players to committ, before they can even prove themselves. People say that's how things are changing now, kids are committing earlier, and leaving ealier from school, meaning they can make more of an impact on the WCHA. I'd rather us get the 20 year old Canadians more than anything.

Why do you care if the community can support it? It isn't your money being used. Only the strong survive. Each company does what it thinks is best for them. Owners of the mall saw that a theatre would bring people to an empty space and afterwards those customers will enter the mall and spend money. The Canad Inn saw that a theatre would be a perfect fit in their "destination centre." My guess Carmike will probably close down the Columbia 4 (it is close to the new theatre, while not being connected and no stadium style seating with highbacks) after a short stint at a discount joint, and then will be bought, remodeled, and reopened as something new.

Smaby has been a big disappointment.

Dude get a grip. This is common in all of sports for a coach after a hard fought loss. The coach doesn't want to say something in the heat of the moment they may regret. He does a cable tv and radio show a week and the fans and media will have time to interview him all they want then.
