You couldn't pay me enough to subject myself to a bunch of music that no one still listens too. All the bands at Moondance Jam are way past their prime and should have retired along time ago, along with the hairstyles of most of their fans. I believe some of them need to catch up with current trends. Such as a type of music that is ever increasing in popularity, country music.....but I will try and not put down people for their tastes and will simply ignore and not respond.

The report had 4 things to do before a move, and if they all weren't complete the report recommended staying in their current division. So at best NDSU would get a 75%, of which half are subjective. I'll make it easy on you. That means it can be different in everybodys mind and can't be proven with facts. I can prove that NDSU didn't have a D1 conference lined up when they moved, but I, nor you, can prove or disprove, NDSU "Established an institutional consensus......"

You mean the current equity funding that NDSU and the rest of the state universities agreed to a few years ago? Oh yeah by NDSU "underfunded standards." Valley City State is WAY overfunded. Can someone please take a bunch of money away from VCSU to help NDSU out!!!! NDSU needs to stop comparing itself to UND for funding and thinks its getting shorted. Why weren't they smart enough to think there was a problem before they signed on to the agreement?

Mom I only told a 10% lie. You can't follow 90% of something when it says "Do NOT move to Division I without a conference." NDSU knew it was going to move regardless of what the CARR report said, and it showed. UND was smarter (no surprise there) and saved the money, because they knew they were going to move no matter what a report said. They look nice on paper that's about it.

If NDSU is offered a Big Sky invite once they are in the MidCon, NDSU will jump so quick it won't even be funny. No way in hedoublehockeysticks will they turn down their dream conference for an unstable one.

Does the fact that he has a couple errors in his report (after all he is from another country), take away from his point? I think the lesson here is to avoid a facist state if you've got illegal drugs in your car.

You have it backwards, Fargo students go to UND because of the academia reputation (see below) not found in Fargo, then conversely move back to their "hometown." Hence all those UND fans/grads currently in Fargo. I and others on this board have first hand knowledge of this.

Long term 13 years is nothing, much better than what is currently available for conferences. F'in Midcon is not worth it long term, Big Sky is 50/50.

Funny you keep mentioning UND, but the article never mentioned UND or any other colleges in North Daktoa. I guess theres a disagreement between NDSU and someone else UND must be involved somehow.

Do you think NDSU and its fans/media would have done/said anything, acted, different than UND did if the roles were reversed. I do not. So it really is all pointless arguements.

When UND leaves the NCC I don't expect NCC schools to schedule UND, like some other schools assumed. Yes lets help SDSU and NDSU in their transition years as they just helped weaken our conference. Yes we are so eager to schedule them. Nice logic. You don't break up with your girlfriend and then ask her to keep dating you until you find someone better.

Back to the original topic of this thread about USD and SCSU: This is how much weight UND carries in the NCC,

Davis has only been a DIAA school since 2003. So really how long could they have been "just fine before the great west"? The Great West is a temporary league for all members until they find something better. As witnessed by it already losing members. More than half the members of the GWFC were D2 a few short years ago, so if UND was to join them, it would be playing the same teams.
