  1. I'm gonna need to start a GoFundMe to bring back hard Mike Hawk.
  2. The second young people started having too much fun, you knew it was over!
  3. This in University Park would be quite the campus recruitment tool.
  4. There is essentially no more scholarship limits between NCAA classifications anymore. The term "scholarship money" will be pretty much nil in the future, because that's the minimum wage.
  5. Statue looks awesome. Lots of freshman ladies will be blasting pics with Mike Hawk all over instagram. Intelligent move by whom ever came up with the statue.
  6. Must be incredible growth outside the city limits, considering the town of gf itself only grew by 800 people.
  7. Looks like that entire county grew by 5 people the last ten years.
  8. My GOBC informed me they are working on a children's museum for GF and a large sum of money has already been raised.
  9. I you can walk into a bar and play roulette, blackjack, and "slot machines," What's the need for a casino when you already have 80% of the games available already?
  10. I dont think Teslas are all that expensive relative to other new vehicles. Especially the model 3. Around the same cost as most moms medium sized SUV/Crossover. Now it you see that airmen in the new Roadster it's a different story. Lol Tesla will eventually come out with an ever cheaper car. The Tesla pickup truck is pretty much the same cost as all other crew cabs. Add in fuel savings (and maintenance) and Tesla's are likely cheaper. Never could understand how so many people can afford $45,000 pickup trucks. ....7 year loans is the likely amswer.
  11. How about a swimming pond with a beach? Old Mill State Park has a nice one. Cant be very expensive.
  12. https://www.minotdailynews.com/news/local-news/2021/05/state-money-allows-bigger-plans-for-magic-city-discovery-center/
  13. $50,000,000 would probably buy a nice ski resort I've always dreamed about in Grand Forks.
  14. $50,000,0000 will do that. (Todays inflation adjusted cost of the building.) Anyone could have one too with all that government money the state of Minnesota and Duluth have spent on it.
  15. We'd also spend some money in GF at the batting cages, mini golf, and Water World. All no longer around.
  16. When we were in high school we drove to the multilevel indoor "fun center" in west fargo to ride the gocarts. Wish they were still around.
  17. Maybe the science museum can have an interactive aquarium!
  18. Duluth subsidizes their aquarium with hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Some people like aquariums. Some people dont. Would hard to get a consensus on anything I suppose.
  19. If you were gonna try and bring a new attraction to GF what would it be?
  20. Gf gave riverside pool a million dollars a few years ago to look a little nicer and stay open, so a few kids could get wet a couple months out of the year.
  21. Bought the Oculus Quest 2 this weekend. Highly recommended. Cheap price too. Probably losing money on each sold. It's almost creepy how real some stuff feels. Film grandma with a 3D 4K cam and relive those exact moments years later. Games are awesome in 3D! The controllers make a world of difference from the "cell phone vr". Be on stage during a concert and really feel like you're there. Graphics and content will only get better as the years go on.
  22. Speaking of towns that lost population the last 10 years...
