Every year you don't win an NCAA Title is a "losing year."

Get the list themselves first duh

You would think the Herald would have put the list out by now or at least before a fargo radio station. You'd think the Herald would be smart enough to think people would be very interested in who applied as soon as they applied. Now it just looks like the Herald just copied the names from the KFGO site.

This is unwatchable. -
Watching the NU game today it sure seemed like the AD told Pelini you lose this game your gone...a stupid fake punt and interesting comments at halftime.

I wasn't a fan of UND seemingly just throwing up threes to start the game. -

Huff with one point and the half is over...what the. -
Let me word it for you another way. The best players rarely make the best coaches. It's scientific research. It two different disciplines. Coaches are great communicators....most of the best coaches never played in the NFL. But instead went straight into coaching after playing college ball. Usually as graduate assistants. Here's another thing you might have observed in life. Brooks was bound to be a coach. One usually follows in their dads (parents) footsteps or at least they give it a try.
-
You figured it out....all gopher players are UND rejects.

Give him ten years at und with the new Ralph like hakstol an he has another 2 under the current format. BC likes the new format....Yale too. Still same number of college teams still only one winner in the end.

So are we saying UND will have a better chance to win a championship if less teams make the tournament this year? (and future years)? Less teams in the tourney means easier to win a championship?

The general rule is you are usually good at coaching OR good at playing. Being a good football player has zero correlation to being a good coach.
-
Other marquee programs? Why not just look at this one UND? Dave Hakstol is setting a record at UND....he's working on the longest championship drought in UND history. #buttparity

The guy that gets the job will only "apply" after Faison contacts him and interviews him.

Sorta like not one person mentioning Brian Ferentz. He played at a Big Ten school, played in the NFL, Coached in the nfl, and is currently a position coach at a big ten school in Iowa so he also is familiar with the area. Why has no one mentioned him (or numerous others with the same "qualifications")? (hint: no _____D connection)
-
Does it have to be a qb? Does it have to be the big ten what about the sec? Lots of high school coaches. Probably about 15,000+ "former high school coach" probably 50,000+ Lots of FCS/FBS/NFL assistants (and most probably started coaching hs or just were on a much faster track) I don't think Nick Sabin played in the NFL or coached a high school.
-
And brooks Doesn't have any of that experience....although a year or two of head coaching high school?....his greatest asset to UND fans..."we know who he is." Not one person would be mentioning him if he wasn't from gf....numerous other coaches have the same or better credentials.
