Can't convert a 4th and one. And now can't convert a 3rd and one with a qb sneak like we wanted to see on that 4th and one.

I hate to say it, but I feel the excitement for the new season is already deflating. But I'll still be at every home game.

Reading this thread is better than watching the game.
  14. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2014/08/26/us/grain-piles-up-waiting-for-a-ride-as-trains-move-north-dakota-oil.html?_r=0&referrer= ND oil is hurting the ag sector.
  15. Was Lou Holtz not one of them? He picked NDSU over KSU for the upset last year. And some of the computer rankings have NDSU as favorites....that's why they play the games. I think it will be close. One possession game either way.
  16. Call my consultant: Steve Stevens. I think he only takes half is your winnings (A joke about cnbcs show about sports betting Money Talks)
  17. Rumors bar does it for hockey. So maybe football, but CMSioux lives by St Cloud.
  18. Exactly! It only makes perfect sense....by using there own logic. Rough Riders were Calavry and now your going to tell me people have a problem with Red Rivers name or the State of North Dakotas nickname...well never mind on that last part.
  19. I was 3.
  20. Has "Challengers" been thrown out there yet? Doesn't offend anyone and makes perfect sense for a sports teams name!
  21. When all is said and done. I'd bet Cavalry will be head and shoulders better than the actual nickname UND comes up with. Where can I get one of those shirts? Although I'd like a green one.
  22. That's why I didn't predict. 55-17 like when Montana came to the Alerus last year.
  23. Sac State last year played San Jose and lost 24-0. Then later Sac State came to UND and won 31-7. 17-38 SJSU
  24. I don't think it just be beating BSC opponents. It'd have to be winning numerous championships and beating FBS teams regularly including Big Ten teams (which doesn't appear as a possibility anymore). The standards are now set pretty high for UND football (by what state football fans are seeing from the Bison) and as it sits today a win against them (3 time defending champs). Would go a long way in installing confidence in what the program could become (at least for the fans). It's a giant step forward vs baby steps. And more people might take notice in those giant steps (beating an FBS or NDSU). Of course the deal sucks, no doubt about it. But we go play FBS teams all the time for money, no one seems to care (why? Money? Chance to beat the "big boys"?). In essence, it's the same. Of course NDSU isn't FBS, but besides the "title" the reasons are the same. This would be ok to schedule if NDSU declares FBS? Because if they do we will be guaranteed they never step foot in the Alerus. They have the stadium for it, UND doesn't. Brock Jenson said beating Kansas State was the biggest win in the programs history (and that was after winning back 2 back championship games). So just winning the BSC, while a great first step, I don't think does much for the program. They'd need to go deep into the playoffs.
  25. At least 30,000. For some playoff games they could probably sell 35,000 (semifinals) and this upcoming UND game. Maybe 40,000. West Fargo, Fargo, Moorhead has added 55,000 people since the Fargodome first opened. The size of Grand Forks so in theory add an Alerus center to it (13,000 seats).
