KVLY (I can't not stare at Andrea Larson's "uneven eyes.") has a story "College Affordability Discussion." Bresciani was no comment when asked. Schafer said UND no longer has a deficit.

I don't disagree. I'm just saying I don't see them turning down a large donation was offered to build a new building (it would certainly have to be quite a bit nicer). Its only a matter of time before all sports venues are replaced, no matter how "iconic" they are (It's usually the teams in that buildings that make them iconic.) Duke officials talking about Cameron Indoor Stadium: “We are 20 years behind on our facilities, and we need to catch up to the same decade as our peers." A lot of these people would replace their stadiums if the money was there, but it's not. Instead they renovate and with good teams and time, they become "iconic", and hard to replace...especially after they keep pumping so much money into them. Purdue’s Mackey Arena got a $100 Million renovation a few years ago. The Ralph will become iconic because I don't see them ever being able to replace that building. Bigger isn't necessarily better. But the population of towns and schools and thus sports attendance, increases. In 50 years if a stadium is the same size as it were in the 1970's they are either losing a lot of money or their fan base has shrink in proportion.

Or Yankee Stadium.

Michigan has a lot of money, but $90-$100 Million is still a lot of money even to Michigan (and that's why it took a program like Penn State to get a $100 million donation to start hockey). But if all that even buys ya is Pegula Hockey Arena, its not worth it. And are better off sticking with Yost. I'm sure they wouldn't turn down a large donation to build a new arena.

The history of the league suggests otherwise.

The term "Wild" left it open to interpretation, while Hawks probably doesn't have as much wiggle room. But I agree, I'd also like to see something more like the Wild and maybe a little more abstract than a straight hawk.

There's always an excuse/reason for not doing something. I'm sure the same could be said for the old ralph. It's been over 40 years and haven't increased the size (actually its shrunk from the original). Never good to have a stale program. It will get replaced with a larger stadium eventually. When they see how much their facility is falling more behind over the years.

Was there a clause: $1.4 Million if still FBS otherwise $X?

I've said before, I wouldn't be surprised if it was some "abstract" logo:

But there are checks and balances. While the employer will pay REDARDLESS. Expenses are usually checked and a reprimand will probably be placed if deemed excessive....we can play hypotheticals all day....a company wouldn't be happy if you stayed at the pricey hotel across the street instead of the conferences hotel. Or a dinner that's a $1000 because you bought multiple shots for the whole bar....Terms are usually set and understood beforehand (corporate walmart execs have to, or use to, share hotel rooms on trips.) *I have no problem with a president of a large university traveling for business across the world to use business class. I guess the terms are still being worked out still after all these years at NDUS, as whether we agree or not it appears some new rules will be coming from the NDUS thanks to this.

I've had the same problem. But I have found out that the key is to (on computer) click the "quote box" in the upper left...You will see a "direction arrow" pop up. Click it. Then Delete. Before that I kept trying to just "delete it" by continually hitting the "backspace" button to no prevail.

That's a good point too. I guess UND could try and put it into a contract or get a lot of money if kicked out. And While pissing off other programs, they would probably still schedule UND, or accept us back if need be.
-
That's a good point. UND turns down the Big Ten and then Denver turns around and accepts. Ouch. I would think the Big Ten would prefer a Division I schools.

UND FIGHTING HAWKS @ Western Mich - FRIDAY Gameday
Cratter replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
I waited in line at 3 or 4 am in the cold and was fifth to last to get tickets. Probably have to be even earlier next year. -
Morgan R. Olsen also got his Masters Degree from UND. I'd have to think he's probably near the top of the list.
-
No surprise there.

UND FIGHTING HAWKS @ Western Mich - FRIDAY Gameday

Best atmosphere I've experienced. -
Just all part of "doing business." Good work if you can get it... Watches sports and parties with people with deep pockets. "Hey wanna go to the NCAA Final Four basketball games, how about Taylor Swift? I'm buying!"
-
Image rotation. I like how you integrated the UND flame logo into it.
-
That was evident when you hadn't heard "Fighting Hawks" by a broadcaster til last weekend.
-
I have the same access to the games as you. I use "Big Sky TV" for Basketball games and NCHC.tv for hockey games. And Iheartradio if I feel like listening to the games instead.
-
You must not watch or listen to UND games very often.

That's the biggest reason to say "No thanks." I like the consistent Friday and Saturday game times. Just need to grow (have UND win more game and build a tradition/fan base at) the Frozen Faceoff and UND is in a near perfect situation. When gosh forbid UND might need a "home field advantage" to win the autobid to make the tournament. Being in the NCHC gives two pretty easy road trips to Duluth and St Cloud. If it aint' broke don't fix it.
