  1. Not impossible. Just hard to do and most people don't want to do it... but it would be better for the state and universities in the long run. Save extra state revenue over multiple years, use that money saved up for spending... It's always better to prepay than post pay. SO the answer is North Dakota can but doesn't want to.
  2. Cutting one third of the students in the Music Departments major doesn't seem like 4% of a "gazillion dollar UND budget is no biggie...just turn down the heat one degree."
  3. Can't North Dakota try and live with cash in hand to set a budget and not "here's what we can spend based on guessing what we'll make?" going forward more?
  4. Tough times for the University and it just appears to be getting started. A lot of departments are struggling with ways to cut money. Lots of possibilities are being thrown out there: cutting programs, laying people off, not filling positions, giving everyone one week non paid vacation. Food services alone at UND has to cut over $700,000. That's a lot of oatmeal in the taco meat.
  5. Only if they are good as Brock....I haven't been impressed with some "first rounders."
  6. That's how you finish a game.
  7. You're comparing Jones to a guy that makes a million dollars a year.
  8. We need to get back to Sioux Hockey. More 25 year old Canadians.
  9. Every team will be playing like Duluth next weekend.
  10. What does UND do tomorrow? Is it better to get two losses out of the way now instead of just one?
  11. Semifinal games are UNDs archenemy.
  12. All the players said the ice was good.
  13. The lower bowl would be full. That's why I think all prices should be the same and only sell upper levels once the lower is full.
  14. Hard to gauge from tv as a lot of upper level tickets were sold.
  15. Shots fired at a hotel in West Fargo, "stay out of the area for now."
  16. Just got the end of the interview with Faison listening online: "It happened in the Denver airport, I had it with Bruce (WCHA commissioner) he (paraphrasing) wouldn't do enough when Minnesota and Wisconsin left, we had put to much (resources) into this program to sit around and do nothing." Then Faison made some phone calls...
  17. $130 Million Target Center renovations that the Minneapolis City Council approved today that will start this summer. http://www.foxsports.com/north/story/minnesota-timberwolves-minneapolis-city-council-target-center-031816
