Lol. Sorry I'm having fun at a main rivals expensive. I had no idea you would take it so personally! It's called a good natured ribbing. There's no harm in it.

Don't follow gopher hockey coaches lives. But calling a grandpa a grandpa is derogatory?
-
Grandpa Motzko is a great coach. They should sign him to a longer term contract!
-
Replay shows the stick hit him in the thigh! Just above the knee to be more accurate. Commentator "Gophers player blew a tire."
-
Wasn't a trip. That play happens a 100 times a game. The gopher player went down to draw a penalty. Dive.
-
Weak penalty if called. No decent ref would call that penalty in OT. And no ref would call that penalty after reviewing it.
-
The Gophers are still diving after all these years!
-
Another reason why Grand Forkers are lucky to only be an hour aways from the busiest airport in the area outside MSP.

Eric Schmidt was announced Sunday night.... I'd expect the same. Dane Jackson announced Sunday night.

For those who only read Gfhockeys clickbait: Heres the rest of the story:

He lives in a nice house with his family on Belmont.

Oh sorry. I thought when I wrote "I'd venture to guess" right afterwards, Conveyed that it was my opinion. I'll try harder going forward.
-
This is what he or she actually said: I find that accurate. You don't. It's an opinion that can't be proven. If wanna argue opinions or semantics of the wording, you do you.
-
Hockeytherapy13 isn't wrong. Most people, I'd venture to guess, would say the head coach at Augustana would accept the head coaching position at UND if offered. You can claim semantics all you want about the language. But the point remains.
-
? You asked who assumed he would come here. I answered your question.

But there will always be "obstacles and opportunities" for every possible coach. We look on the bright side of why one might come here: Familiar with the area. Opportunity to lead a blue blood program. Great fans and arena Better pay Easier stepping stone to the NHL. I think we all know the reasons why someone wouldn't come to UND: Happy with their current job Family doesn't like small town living High pressure Dealing with Brad Schlossman It was very reasonable to think pulling the new head coach from Augustana was greater than "minimal." I don't think it's really a surprise, to most, when any coach says "I appreciate the opportunity but timing just isn't right." Of course we're all just spitballin' and your opinion happened to be the correct one.
-
I'd imagine Dane would at least keep one guy on. Likely Karl for some familiarity. And Dane hasn't exactly been "out of the house" lately networking. (UND assistant for last 20 years). So he'll pick one of those former UND players who is now coaching. Can predict the entire thing with almost pure certainty! ....those odds will be released after the conclusion of the first round.

More like you complained about only getting bjs and she said "lucky for you i got a new man now with more money!" Now we just dumped our recent girl cause she's only giving us HJ's on occasion.

Bad teams and years are forgotten, nattys live forever.

That's what siouxfan97 was asking "what u hinting at."

You put your tinny hat on UND was approached to be in another superconference. Armacost needed big $$$ Had to call KEM She said "Not with Berry. He can't even beat Augustana or even U18 at home!" "I just text Berry to clean out his office!"

People think Chaves ran the department into the ground because football and hockey sucked. People he had no involvement in hiring. Tells me all I need to know about those people. Yes it's not uncommon to open it up externally, not find anyone you feel is more qualified than a current assistant, and eventually hire an assistant coach. Brad Schlossman just wrote about that exact same scenario in today's article! Ha

Firing an underperforming coach and not having an exact replacement lined up is not a "reason for firing an AD." They did the same with football. Fired the coach and found a replacement afterwards. Pretty common practice. We don't know if he "assumed" Hakstol would be interested. He simply asked if he interested in the job once it was vacant. It implies he wasn't ready to just automatically give it to Dane. A smart move.
