    There was nothing in language of the vote that says the new water and road tax will be added to the existing percentage of the city budget that was already used for roads/water. While using the money for "library money" was being a little facetious, it certainly doesn't stop the city from helping it fund some of its other pet projects that will inevitable arrive. We'll see if the city spends "tens of thousands of dollars" on the new art project requests... Just wait five years when the "noise" of the new vote dies down.

    The med school is the largest public project in North Dakota history. $124 million.

    Definitely not to say Chaves won't be a good AD. As we know, Some AD's and Presidents don't get along. I think he'll do good things at UND. From the list of candidates, he was my top choice.

    One would guess, new sales tax passed for roads, would be added to already existing road budget But now they can move money around and have library money Grand Forks really voted for a library upgrades

    North Dakota has basically twice the "proven oil reserves" than Alaska. In 2016 (not sure if 2017 numbers are out yet), North Dakota produced 2.11 times the amount of oil Alaska did. Since the new Ralph opened, the people of Alaska have been given over $20,000. Is the oil tax in North Dakota too low?

    The difference was the third string goalie/walkon was starting over a drafted goalie last year. ....and there was cries of "What is going on with Tomek?" And apparently something was as his time with UND was short lived.

    Interesting stuff. The article also states, But ultimately the master plan has that demolished too. I would anticipate they'll do a cost benefit analysis and find it better to just demolish Montgomery. Had some classes with Steve Light. Glad to see he's still at UND.

    Montgomery is demolished. The new biz school in its place attached to the Library and Merrifield.

    I'm sure they talked about the Canadian dollar. Not as strong against the US dollar as it use to be. GF is growing. Is it growing slower than we all would like? Yes.

    Not sure what anything you quoted from me has to do with what you wrote. All those restaurants are still open i wrote about and doing well. GF can start by having a real mayor but no one seems to care. Sonic took a gamble and musta known by placing the restaurant in that part of town. While chik fil a took the prime location. Southgate didn't close they renovated. Rumors of Harbor Freight coming to town.
