2 hours ain't nothing bro.

Took The Don 14 years to win his first college hockey natty. I'd stick with Jim.
-
Jim Montgomery has a nice resume.
-
If Berry leads UND for the next decade and we know he will have zero Frozen Four wins (which of course means zero Nattys), I say kick him to the curb now.
-
I would probably have to evaluate each season and see how far they go, but I would probably say it looks like Berry peaked his first year at UND just like Hakstol.
-
If Brad Berry never wins another Frozen Four game in his entire UND coaching career, he will still have twice the number of Frozen Four wins than Dave Hakstol had his entire eleven years coaching at UND.

Duluth and Cloud fans licking their chops right now.

2 ties at home vs one of the countries top teams. Then lose at home to one of the bottom.

Not your grandparents CC team! Haha

add The Beach Boys @ the Chester Fritz.

Yup, I hope and expect it to look good.

I think if North Dakota lowered it to 1% (instead of this way way too high 5%) the investment and oil/gas extraction would increase exponentially overnight...regardless of the price of that extracted oil per barrel is on the open market!!!!. Boom Baby Boom!

Well that picture brought back some memories! Got any interior pictures? I think I was in there once or twice when I was 10 and that was about it, vaguely remember it. The only time third street is busy enough to warrant it closing is Friday and Saturday nights.
-
GF did have some smaller bands outside rhombus guys blocking the street this summer which was cool. I'm guessing Downtown Development Association put it on.
-
Town Square can be nice for the "family friendly." I like the idea of using the street and incorporating the bars. Event would have to be free though as buildings and bars would be blocked off to get into from the event.
-
I've always thought GF could use more of this. Lots of small towns have popular street dances, and Grand Forks could put on a hell of one if they wanted to. Close down third from Demers to University. Rope it off. Allow free roaming in between the bars and drinking outside, invite a loved regional band like Hairball and say screw the noise ordinance, and party til 1am! Throw up the christmas lights that cross the streets downtown that are currently up. Packed street crowded downtown for a block or two. The optics could be great.

Construction jobs down by 24% in Grand Forks in the last 12 months. More than all other 358 similar cities in the US. http://www.jamestownsun.com/news/4399751-grand-forks-metro-lost-most-construction-jobs-us-last-year

Foreigner at the Fritz. Dwight Yoakam at the Fritz. TIm & Faith at the Ralph. Keith Urban at the Ralph. Little Big Town at the Ralph. Not to shabby for upcoming Concerts/Entertainers for a small town on the prairie.

Looks like that new management company has been working overtime: Five Finger Death Punch/Shinedown Thomas Rhett Bill Engvall Rodney Carrington & more!

Perfect time for UND to break their five game winless streak.

Turns out Big Johnson Foles called the Trick Play: http://www.totalprosports.com/2018/02/06/micd-up-turns-out-nick-foles-called-philly-special-trick-play-himself-in-super-bowl-52-video/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=TPS&utm_campaign=twitter And it sounds to me like its called the "Philly Philly" (as in Dilly Dilly).
-
Chicago, New York, LA have multiple teams so they have a greater chance to be on those lists. Making Philly and Boston the impressive ones.
-
Get out your google maps. Set the destination 1.2 hours west of GF. Drop a pin. Draw a radius from that point to include 50 miles. Look at any or all towns. I would guess Grand Forks is growing faster. And I would guess that is what moser's metric is above all else. Population growth.

Downtown is very "vibrant." A lot more than it was 30 years ago. It keep becoming more vibrant all the time as developers keep building down there. City leaders don't want a library in a mall. They want a Library they can show off. They should build it on 42nd near the Alerus, another building they like to show off. Instead of looking an hour south, look an hourish to the West of Grand Forks. It might turn your frown upside down. and with that said, here is a thread I started over a decade ago on SiouxSports, that I'm sure you'll find interesting. Fargo just took FedEx air away from Grand Forks: Put that down in the "Hurt" column.
