I believe UND's next moniker is somewhere in that logo. I can't prove it; just a gut feeling.
-
I'll take the job in a heartbeat. The heat of the job would be better than having done nothing and seeing some 'kumbaya' moniker show up.
-
State law says UND can't pick a new moniker until Jan 2015. That newspaper (from Macon, GA) more than likely assumed from there.

To steal a phrase, "My oh my." That smells like a "lock down" or "lock in" of the current membership.

I had to clean some profanity out of this thread (I'm looking at you nodak651). And I had to clean a post quoting it (I'm looking at you Johnboy). Forum guidelines -- No profanity. Thank you.

"Neat"? Turn in your Man Card (assuming you had one).

I recall UND playing in an NCAA national semi-final this spring ...

Ah yes, you contribute much to the betterment of society. Where'd you go to school again?
-
So then what are you good for?

Patience, Grasshopper. The final obstacle has been cleared. Your 63rd education will come soon enough.

If the current P5 were to rewrite parts of the rules, as you hypothesize, you have to know they'd understand that many FCS schools don't have 15,000 seat stadiums. I wonder if they'd revisit that number (or the attendance section in general). It'd take the pressure off of a significant number of current FBS (G5) schools also.

That's an excerpt from the memorandum returning Idaho (all but football) to the Big Sky. Fullerton wants Idaho back in the Big Sky. Idaho's academic credentials would help Fullerton appease the concerns of the Montana schools regarding letting lesser academic schools in the conference. (Fullerton wanted North Dakota for that same reason.) You can see the same concern in reverse from Idaho, namely, if those named three weren't at the party when Idaho showed up they could get out of the deal including getting their deposit back. (Fullerton would give the deposit back! That's how much he was willing to bend to what Idaho wanted to get them.) Idaho tightens up, makes more stable, Fullerton's northern Big Sky nucleus.

Adidas makes much, much more sense given the bolded portion (quoted from SFI).

Eleventy-billion to two!

Lose your captain for the semi-finals because he takes a stupid penalty in the quarter-finals. Lose your best offensive weapon to a chipped vertebrae due to a knee in the back. But then put a stamp on in and mail it in ... in front of the home crowd. Welcome to a top five worst day in Brazilian history.

Don't forget DeHoff too ... on second thought, nevermind.

Your transcription of the tapes was slightly off so I fixed it for you.

I'm hoping the next problem doesn't happen. Getting the NGLs out before shipping, doing the chemical extraction and processing in North Dakota, would mean building those plants in the Bakken region* and they'd need chemical engineers. *Right now they are predominantly on the Gulf Coast.

Meant to put this in a while back, but Taylor isn't even getting that large of a pay bump (saw it in the Fargo Forum). So he's going to Iowa to be #2, behind a boss who's six years younger, and he's not getting that big (>15%) raise I'd assumed. http://www.inforum.com/content/gene-taylor-make-245k-first-year-iowa

I'd rather have the regional cable over a local affiliate.

Hi, I'm on the board of directors of an organization with $200+ million in assets and $100 million in annual revenues. We're looking for a new CEO. We'd like to hire you for $1 million per year. And we assume you'll be giving about 80% of that to students because you can easily live on $200k annually. Right? Greene's making $10 million over 4 years ($2.5 annually). Taxes, agents, etc. and he's taking less than half of that. And given his age, that may be the last deal of his career. He'll be 30 and done earning. Compare that to ... Do the math in a "normal" (30-35 year career): If you average $60k you'll have earned about $2 million in your lifetime.
