    Tom Clifford: he didn't get signed agreements with the tribes and had the best relationships. No. No ... Leigh Jeanotte, rabble-rouser-supreme. No. No ... The NCAA. No. No ... Wayne Stenehjem? Bob Kelley? The Standing Rock and Spirit Lake tribes? I'm through trying to fix the blame (because there's more than enough to go around).

    < ding > Winner. Like I speculated earlier: Everyone knows this logo is going to be disliked not on its merits but because of the circumstance. It's a primary that I suspect will act as a secondary for a while and during that same time the North Dakota wordmark will serve as a primary. After another period of adjustment, who knows.

    Ben Brien's try was a-swing-and-a-miss. And blaming SME is foolish. The vote gave them chicken < bleep >, another "adjective hawk", and they had to try to make chicken salad.

    KFGO is notorious for taking quotes slightly out of context. (Wouldn't be to generate clicks and ratings ... nah ... )

    Yes. I expected more than one logo and one wordmark.

    However, I wish they would've rolled out a "hawk only" (no ND) of the logo. I also wish they'd have rolled out the color-swapped versions of the logo (someone here had to do that).

    First: It's about what I expected. To those that say it seems more like a secondary logo, I'm wondering if that wasn't part of the thinking. Nothing would be satisfactory at this time (as someone said, even if it was hand delivered personally by the Almighty). But look at that FB uniform hypothetical: the wordmark is fine and the shoulder logo works. Same for basketball (save for the logo on the shorts). I think what your seeing is some level of acknowledgement to the "just North Dakota" crowd. For the time being I suspect this new primary logo will behave as a secondary and the wordmark will be dominant, effectively behaving as the primary (main jersey front), for a while.

    Learfield and SiriusXM have had a relationship in the past. Not sure of the status of that going forward but UND games on SiriusXM would be fun.

    "Show" is strong. They produce a daily two or three minute "UND Sports Today" program that a station can easily run a couple times during the day (normally drive times). That's what they do now at least. That could change.

    I'm interested in what other stations Learfield may be able to line up.

    So don't complain about what he's doing. Complain to Hajdu the supervisor about the performance of his people. But don't you normally interact with the person before you go to their supervisor?

    Folks do realize that Hajdu's primary responsibility is men's hockey, right? There are other assistant SIDs (responsible to Hajdu) and their jobs are to focus on those other sports.
