  1. It's the only thing they did well.
  2. Assume $800k savings. Assume $22 million budget. That's roughly 3.6%. If the number (from the State, mandating cuts) is 10%, changing conferences is not enough.

    Why

    I don't.
  4. You covered the three areas Bubba brought up and there are obvious things in motion in each of those areas. You hit the area (LB) that he didn't bring up but that should seem to be a concern. Does Schmidt have some guys ready in the wings to step in and up?
  5. Jost may well leave after this season; he has the raw hockey talent for that. However, he would be well served to stay and let his body develop for one more season. He's not the biggest guy out there and the wear will have an effect.
  6. The definitive critique by Godsmack. Well done.
  7. Schenectady hasn't been the same since General Electric moved a lot of their operations out of there.
  8. Why? You'll pay him if he stays or goes, either way. You name an assistant as interim to finish out the season which shouldn't cost any more than is already booked.
  9. Anyone else notice Hajdu putting out a Tweet about this yesterday? He's a former UND women's hockey assistant. RMU Hockey ‏@RMUWHockey 31 Dec 2016 FINAL: No. 9 RMU 5, Brown 3 Congratulations to head coach Paul Colontino on this major milestone! 10. If I'm reading the schedule correctly, the other games today are at (all times Central): 2:30 SWE v SVK 4:30 USA v SUI 7:00 CAN v CZE
  11. Bribed? Nah. But are we sure his email wasn't hacked? It is Russia after all ...
  12. So, you're saying not an exhibition game.
  13. And here I was afraid to post a comment about "Isn't duck season still open" ...
  14. Tell me that you lose all five starters, including three all-conference guys, and replace them with three RFr with a combined 50 snaps of college ball to go with two returning sophomores who only played parts of the last three games of the year due to injuries, I'd say you're not in a good place. Tell me you're returning eight guys who all started games, and it's an upperclassman dominated group, that set the stage for a run based offensive attack but that had some injury and consistency problems I'd say you're in a better place that the first group. Tell me about your offensive line and I'll tell you about your season, but I'm not looking for the information until late August.
  15. Tomek is doing as well as can be expected at the WJC (given the team in front of him). And now his age is really brought into focus. I guess I really never realized how young he is before now. It's like Tomek was put into a sound professional-like system to develop for a few years. It's like he's being brought along slowly to mature (as Ed Belfour preaches). And what is this I hear that the head coach of the NHL team that drafted Tomek and UND have some sort of past relationship?
  16. Tell me about an offensive line and I'll tell you about a team's season.

  18. On a couple of his throws to the left (across his body) he didn't elevate his elbow and slung it a bit. But it wasn't all the time. I suspect he's had some work on his mechanics and he reverts at times.
  19. Did you say you grew up at the pin point on that map?
  20. Um ... maybe, ah, ... south of I-94, say, by the river?
  21. That's what I was thinking. In fall of 2017: Studsrud Sr Heidelbaugh So Zimmerman So Bolinski RFr Boltmann Fr
  22. He thinks he is.
  23. Arm curls using 12 oz varying resistance "weights".
  24. Omaha made the moves to position themselves for Wichita State's MVC slot: - no football - better media market (gets the MVC back into Omaha after Creighton left) The other option, honestly, would be Denver (again, no football and media market; distance is DU's downfall)
  25. I'd argue a big part of that is weather. Passing is far easier with a warm football and dry field versus a cold ball and treacherous footing. That said, the game to game fluctuation of a passing game ("hot", "clicking", choose your cliche) is far greater than that of a running game and a stout defense no matter the conditions.
