Exactly. I'd expect all the WIH to be reallocated to women's sports. Remember, UND must fund at least 7 sports in the Summit at no less than 85% of the NCAA equivalencies limit. UND has work to do there. MBB, WBB, and VB are there already. UND has to add equivalencies to soccer, softball, and others to meet that Summit requirement.
-
I've thrown a bunch of Title IX data into the other WIH thread. They probably don't want to go there. UND was in non-compliance in FY16 ... but it was over-weighted, biased, against men.
-
Mr. Tyler has an answer for that for you.

I gave the participation number. Now, how about ... equivalencies* and dollars. FY16 50.2% of equivalencies were to men. 50.4% of receivers of equivalencies were men. 50.5% of actual equivalency dollars went to men. Men per SI are 54% of the athlete population at UND. *An equivalency is a "scholarship" or a "grant in aid". But not all grants are the same. An equivalency to say a WIH player from GF is not the same as one to a Swedish WIH player. Yes, each count as an equivalency; however, the Swedish one is far more in terms of dollars. That's why both equivs and dollars are reported.

Rob Port did a FOIA for their version the UND doc I have. I suspect he'll have that just after I recover the Holy Grail.

The claim: The numbers (from the FY16 report from UND to NCAA): Duplicated* Men 290 52.3% Women 264 47.7% Unduplicated Men 266 53% Women 236 47% The last numbers for UND general student body I have: Men 54% Women 46% (agrees with SI article) Summary: The SI article about women athletes at UND, per the UND to NCAA FY16 data, is wrong. UND has much more than "43.4 percent" women athletes**. UND has 47 or 47.7% based on the data used. That means UND had too many women athletes in 2016. (47% athletes > 46% student body). Oh, and that's FY16 ...when baseball still existed! FY17 will show even worse imbalance against the men**. *Duplicated just counts "team members". Unduplicated only counts an athlete once even if they participate in both say FB and track or WBB and WVB. **I wonder if she looked up ... NDSU. ***To those that said UND was "over compliant" to Title IX. WRONG. UND was not in compliance with Title IX; it was biased against the men.

Nah, you'll just swing by and clean out the change in your cup holder in your ride and cover me.

Sure. But how about 1040s instead (make and pay in taxes comparisons). Mine (where I have some ugly checks to write in the next ten days) are laying right here.
-
Yes, but ND does "the Triple". ND has income, property, and sales taxes. "Barely above zero" is close to the price of my four season (Coaches) hockey tickets. And then there's property, and sales, taxes.

Congrats on giving Gov Bergum a free loan of $20. Me? I'll be writing checks. Big ones. And skipping lunch.

University of North Dakota Hockey 2017-18 Season

I don't know, and I really don't care (as it's none of my business). I'm just saying don't assume either; every situation is different and I believe the coaching staff will do the right thing. -
http://www.grandforksherald.com/opinion/letters/4246493-letter-unds-relentless-cuts-hurt-loyalty-alums Yes ma'am, cuts hurt. But remember, a significant number of Alumni are ND taxpayers. They also expect their State and its universities to run efficiently and effectively.

http://www.grandforksherald.com/opinion/letters/4246494-letter-unds-title-ix-compliance-remains-air A premier national firm specializing in Title IX law doesn't know about Title IX law. That letter, that's a "double hamstring pull" stretch.

Dear UND Softball, Congratulations. You survived last week. Frankly, that means nothing. Yes. Nothing. Performance matters. If you are dregs of whichever league you may reside in, at some point you'll be examined. Yes, frank, harsh, direct. But do not sit back and think "you've made it". You've made nothing other than a trip closer to the harsh spotlight. Tough to hear, but still good advice. Signed, A UND fan and a guy that once survived the first two rounds of layoffs at a place that did three

Let me go a completely different direction: Chartrand. If they went with what looks like 16-7-3 (26), they'd still have Dixon Bowen, who played a lot of D in Penticton, as an eight defender if needed. I put this out there because on paper this '17-'18 team's strong suit right now is G (if Cam is healthy) and D (that Core 5). Running with 16Fs and having guys know it is ... (wait for it, I'm about to channel my inner Blaiser) ... SKATE OR SIT ... it should be better for the offense. -
What was Blais' base?

Men's golf is yet to raise 4 million real or fake.
-
How many years ago was that? Say almost ten? And the endowment number is just short of double? That's less than seven percent annually and that's what university costs have been going up. Moral of story: Stuff costs money.
-
No. Read carefully what they said. $60 million: That's just women's hockey.
