So in the course of about 12 hours MIN went from #1 seed in NFC, to #2 seed in NFC, to now still being the #2 seed in the NFC but seemingly well positioned to get the #1 back. Nick Foles != Carson Wentz -
At their roll GSU would still throw 10-12 times per game. I'm not sure Wofford has passing plays other than drawn in the dirt as needed.

RE: 2017 FCS playoffs How in the world does a one-dimensional team like Wofford get to the quarters of the FCS playoffs? Even at their most dedicated to the veer, run run run, point in their program's history NDSU still passed the ball about a dozen times a game. A dozen passes is Wofford's season.

C'mon, credit Schmaltz with that goal, but even @Oxbow6could score with Kane setting him up like that.

Let's see ... Opening minutes and Pogo is in clean and < clang >. Intentionally put him in the box (too many men) and it works, he's away on a clean break and Gersich goes ... chest-logo. I do believe it's time to bring this one back. Time to lead from the front and execute, lads.

As PCM used to tell me, "The way our power play looks we should decline the penalty."

Fix the offensive line. Get the backs somewhere to run, and by association Ketteringham (or whomever) time to pass, and suddenly you move the ball, possess the ball, and put less exposure and wear on your defense. You are dictating pace of play, style of play, and you are punishing the other team. I have no problem with a 1st and 10 dive over LG if it nets 5 yards. Heck, if it nets 5 yards call it again. But that requires an offensive line.

I've seen it a few times in the last pages of this thread and now I must channel my inner Mafia-grammar-man: apart (adverb): separated by a distance; at a specified distance from each other in time or space. a part (noun): a piece or segment or portion of something such as an object, activity, or period of time, which combined with other pieces makes up the whole. They used to set lepers apart (away from) the population even though they are still a part of (counted in) the population. Don't get me started on your/you're or its/it's or whose/who's. You might set me off on an assure/ensure/insure rant.

Spot them 11-0 to start. Only lose by 9 (88-79). Hmmm... maybe show up for the opening tip next time.

	With 6'7" players?

I guess I need to go out and buy a PowerBall ($229M) and a MegaMillions ($191M) stub.

If anyone questions my statements about why the offensive line is the most important part of a team, well, just look at the Vikings yesterday. Three guys in the middle of the OL shuffled around and they are just not the same team.

There's a gif of Wentz's left knee moving laterally on Schefter's Twitter feed. (Not "Theisman bad" bad, but if you don't like knee injuries ... ) https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/940047659594739712 -
NDSU doesn’t do anything exceptional; but, what they do they do exceptionally well.

Someone needs to tell CHN their standings are incorrect. UND is 5-2-2-2 for 19 points, tied with SCSU at 6-2-1-0.

Think about what you just said: review the offside. See: UND v. BU, Scheel's Arena circa April 2017. That's still disputed. If the play was close enough to be allowed to go on at zone entry this solution is simple: Roll backwards from the goal. If the defender had the puck and failed to clear it's on him. What this rule will probably cause is linesmen to fail more to the "offsides" whistle and less to the "good" on zone entries. Why? If they let it go and the possession changes and the goal happens (the UND scenario) they'll hear about it from the coach that was "wronged". Yes, imagine this rule in place in April 2017: From the Bowen goal, the tape rolls back to the BU defender having and losing the puck. End of review. Good goal. UND win. And BU coaches claiming "it was offside" to this day. <-- This scenario I believe will cause more "close" offsides plays to be whistled down than let go on.

Mafia did not know this but I kept a tracer on his iPod ... and this shows up. " ... giving the ol' how's she goin' ... "

From the goal you review backwards in time to either (A) possession change in zone, or (B) zone entry, not both. Under the current rule, from Bowen's goal you rewind until the BU defenseman takes a stride with the puck. <--- Possession change; good goal.
