A player at age 16 is the same at age 20. Just ask Tucker Poolman ...

The rules (same as 2017): - pick six (6) forwards - pick four (4) defensemen - straight POINTS, not goals, POINTS (G + A) scored by your ten players in the four rounds to the Cup determines winner - no more than five (5) players from a single NHL team on your team Teams must be in before first playoff puck drop Wednesday night. And I'm not going to have much time to track scores this year; I'll need help with it. Thanks to everyone in advance. For those with short memories: last year's game

Students Spearhead Effort for Fighting Hawks Mascot
The Sicatoka replied to ChrisUND1's topic in UND Nickname
Meh. You've always been soft. -
Ponder this: Eight guys from the win over QU are in the NHL right now. Schmaltz, Boeser, Caggiula, Gersich Stetcher, Poolman, LaDue, Wolanin Imagine this year's team with Schmaltz and Boeser still playing ... with Jost, and Poolman. All that said, you have to keep bringing in talent to replace what goes.

Berry is going nowhere for at least two more years, and it would take two years missing the NCAAs and with declining attendance at that. But, say, the unspeakable (namely that) were to happen, who's on the short list circa 2020. I'm going to say right now it's not Sandy, or Eades, or Herter, or even Steve Johnson. They'll all be knocking on 55 or better. Who is the up and coming coach in the family?

After losing a late lead against CHI earlier this week and not even getting the OT point they desperately needed, and then losing last night at COL, is Yeo still in STL this morning?

PHI wins, CBJ and NJD both lose and PHI is #3 in the Metro when they were out of the playoffs not that long ago. Better yet? By finishing #3, it sets up PHI v PIT, "The Keystone Carnage" in Round 1.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season
The Sicatoka replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
To 2018-2019 UND Hockey I say ... So close. So, so close. How close? Who is the last team to defeat the current National Champions? Stings a bit, doesn't it. Well 2018-2019 version of UND Hockey, how's all that sit with you? Are you going to be satisfied with double digit ties on the season? Are you going to learn from blowing two-goal leads down the stretch? Better, are you going to learn from blowing a three-goal lead on the road, a game that if you'd have held onto you'd have been in the tournament. Blowing leads and accepting ties shows me a lack of maturity and worse, complacency. Do you like how that feels right now? Or are you going to start deciding, figure out, that winning, winning games, winning periods, winning splits, winning kills and power plays, winning shifts, winning draws, winning races, winning loose pucks, winning, is a lot more fun than "so close". But winning requires focus, and intent, and will. Time to exhibit some. Winning is an attitude and habit; and so is where you're at now. So what habit are you going to make for 2018-2019. -
So teach him to block a < bleep-bleep > punt or kick!

That's why we need photos of the actual field from someone there. It's 200 feet to the RF corner the way it looked.
-
Based on that video, home plate is in the NE corner of the floor and they are hitting toward the student section in football in right-center field. That's based on seeing Section 214 above the 200 foot marker and the alignment of the fence.

The All UND-in-the-NHL Team: 2017-18 Edition
The Sicatoka replied to The Sicatoka's topic in Men's Hockey
They don't own an NHL franchise so that doesn't work. Read the rules. Pascall works because he's presently assistant GM in Calgary ... or is it Cal-gary. Owner (chair of ownership group) would have to be UND graduate Mark Chipman. -
The All UND-in-the-NHL Team: 2017-18 Edition
The Sicatoka replied to The Sicatoka's topic in Men's Hockey
Well, if you're going to get all demanding and want the whole organization, I guess we'll need a GM, or at least an assistant GM: Brad Pascall -
Nope, yup, I knew that one. The fold-up stands you see at the end zones during football are sections 104-106, 113-115, and 120-123 in that image. For hoops they bring 212-216 across to be the west side of the court.

So how will the field be set up? Short porch to right or a deep-deep center field?

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season
The Sicatoka replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
OK, four seniors (goalie plus 3 forwards), Wolanin, Gersich, and the void left by Gornall leaving. That's seven holes (goalie, a D, five Fs). Scheel and Tychonick are gimmes. We know this team is < ahem > offensively challenged. Huber, Weatherby, Senden, and Hain all have Elite Prospects (EP) pages showing they're coming in 2018. That brings me to Jackson Keane. His EP page doesn't show UND in 2018. Frankly, it doesn't show him developing offensively, even in the score-happy BCHL. Knowing we're challenged, and seeing his page doesn't list "UND 2018" like the others, is he coming? Honestly, seeing that history, I'd roll the dice on a guy like Carter Randklev coming in and sparking some offense. And, interestingly ... his page. -
I remember watching tOSU in Fargo a year ago giving Duluth quite a run. Saturday, and their thrashing of DU, reminded me how good they can be when they show up.
