Maybe a naive question, but is there some "certificate" or "license" or "official training" that someone needs to have completed to be recognized as an athletics director by the NCAA. Or is the position just a title and a school can name anyone to fill it. I found the posting, but here's all it lists for Qualifications and a lot of that is boilerplate:

Yup. And Phil got the "bucket and mop" after Buning was let go. But, Phil was not permitted (as an acting) to do what needed to be done.
-
Faison was under the fiscal "too many sports for the dollars" bus before he ever got here. Lest we forget, Acting AD Phil Harmeson (post Buning fiasco) saw reality long before others dare face it.

North Dakota. Hey, a guy can dream.

No. Seriously. Anyone who'll publicly admit to having watched D2, seek help.

I would follow up on that claim before buying in.

Birds fly. Fish swim. Sun rises in the east. And ... Yup.

We've covered this already. As a matter of fact, twice.

Sanderson? The name "Coltyn" jumps to mind and I begin to ask and wonder ...

Nope. I want to build bigger and better and beat them time and again.

I just found a bunch of cello music on the Mafia's iPod. Cello music. This. And this. What next ...

For those of you unsure of the hierarchy of the NCAA, please note that "G5" senior associates or deputy administrators (#2s and #3s in their departments) are applying for an FCS AD job. I could be completely wrong, but I don't see any deputies or associates from "P5" schools having made our finalists list. As someone noted, we have a couple associate/deputy types from "G5" schools, but none from P5 schools. (Where's Morton from MSU? Purpur from Stanford?) That tells me there is a pecking order; or, put another way: - 'tis better to be #2 or #3 (or worse?) at a P5 than to be the AD at an FCS, or, - being AD at FCS is better than being #2 or #3 at a G5. "P5" -- ACC, Big Ten, SEC, Big XII, PAC 12 "G5" -- MAC, C-USA, Mountain West, SBC, WAC

I have a dime for them. Can someone float them the other fifteen cents?

So you're some-rich-somebody's accountant. < shrug >

To which "SMH" do you refer?

Hearing this, well, I just couldn't resist going to the numbers: Special Teams Overall Conference Only Power Play Penalty Kill Combined PPC/G Power Play Penalty Kill Combined PPC/G Denver 26/105 .248 59/ 71 .831 85/176 .483 4.8 12/ 58 .207 35/ 41 .854 47/ 99 .475 4.8 Opponents 12/ 71 .169 79/105 .752 91/176 .517 3.2 6/ 41 .146 46/ 58 .793 52/ 99 .525 3.4 So, DU has played 22 games overall, 12 in the NCHC, at these stats. Basically, overall DU gets 1.5 more power plays per game; and they get about 1.4 more power plays per conference game. Where do I sign up to get 3 extra power plays per weekend? Think the EWU AD would like the resources to knock NDSU off the FCS pedestal? He's gotten close at EWU, but it's going the wrong way at EWU right now. If Kennedy is serious about UND Football, Chavez seems the logical choice.

$20 on under.

Carson Wentz taking Philly err Indy err DC by storm
The Sicatoka replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Non-collegiate sports
No disrespect to Mr. Wentz, but Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, who was murdered for her unborn child, was (unfortunately) the most noteworthy person in Fargo Forum's coverage area this year. -
I asked Mafia his opinion of Team Switzerland. He likes them and said their jersey is a big plus. < bah-dump-bump ... ting! >
