  1. Grifter? Grifter. Was that word in your (not you jdub, the plural greater ‘your’ reading this) common vocabulary until recently? A couple years back it was ‘gravitas’ as the word to use to sound “in the know.” We are all subconsciously being programmed by media of all ilks. Because they pick a word and echo chambers it upon us all. In doing so they set their narrative.
  2. I’d say your half right: One is fracturing; one appears to be forming a new coalition that few expected.
  3. Remember: Those commentary shows are all about the Benjamins. Ratings numbers matter.
  4. Owens is a non-starter. She's got no resume to hold that job. If you tap Tim Scott you have to go Noem. You can't have two from SC. Cruz / Haley or Scott / Noem would be intriguing.
  5. We're picking candidates by melanin, not political mentality. We're doomed.
  6. Because I also enjoy finding out the hard way when I've forgotten to wear an athletic cup? I'm also a fan of unsedated colonoscopies and doing at-home, do-it-yourself root canals with a Dremel and a bottle of Jack (Tito's also works).
  7. Rubio / Noem 2024
  8. Media calls mean exactly zip dot squat aside from attempting to mold public perception.
  9. Source of quote
  10. Blue wave? Never has winning looked like that.
  11. Let the parties pick their candidates and live with the repercussions.
  12. No. It'll make me sad. I've seen it in my family, my parents. What I see in this video is a spouse covering and helping a spouse with early to mid stage dementia. Heck, I unwittingly helped my mom out at times (with a word, a day, an event recall) before I realized the real issue.
  13. I'm setting the over-and-under on "President Harris" at October 1. (Pelosi didn't look at A25 law for nothin'.)
  14. @hayduke1 -- Your current behavior is, what they call in poker, a "tell". Please reel it in ... or I'll help you.
  15. It would make you think twice about voting more than once.
  16. Replace the leader of the "blue wave"? https://www.democracynow.org/2020/11/5/headlines/democrats_mull_replacing_nancy_pelosi_with_hakeem_jeffries_as_house_speaker Ooooh-kaaaaay.
  17. I'm telling you it's time for election ink.
  18. @Hayduke1 -- 2022 is coming, as is 2024.
  19. I'm still processing this: First group of polls close, including Florida (not the panhandle portion). I see the numbers. I'm not the most political but I know the panhandle is red. I said from literally the "eastern" Florida data that Trump won Florida. I beat the professionals by ... four hours? ... on my call.
  20. Twenty years after being the punchline, Florida is the standard bearer.
  21. I heard the only demographic Trump did worse in 2020 with was ... white males.
  22. Food for thought: Flip a coin and odds of it coming up heads is 1/2 (or 0.5). Flip two coins and odds of both coming up heads is 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.25. Flip three it's 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.125 = (0.5)^3 which is said as "half raised to the third power" Flip 100,000 coins and the odds of all heads is (0.5)^100000 = 0.000000000000000000000000000000 MSFT Excel still calculates it as zero when you tell it to show 30 decimal places. Flip 100,000 coins you're going to get a tails because the odds of all 100,000 heads is zero. Now you can say voting isn't a coin flip. I agree. But account for the smart-alecs that write in a vote for Donald Duck (as some here have admitted). Not one smart-alec in 100,000? All 100,000 voted "heads". Um, ... oh-kay ...
  23. I've got the over-and-under on when we know at December 12.
  24. The "blue wave" ... waived good-bye.
