I pondered asking where the mustache had been to acquire Covid but thought better of it. Some things are best left a mystery.

DU has all three goalies. When's the last time Magnus Chrona stole a game ... ... because that's what I suspect it'll take.

The self-selected tournament field becomes the self-selected tournament champ.

I was told that by our favorite SDSU alumnus who used to hang around here.

Yup, all those awards and it still takes $5 to get a footlong ham sandwich at Subway. -
Maine and UNH about to start. Back in the day that was a HEA Championship matchup. Today's it's an 8/9 play-in game.

Haven't you heard? They're going after Hobo Days as being insensitive to some group. (Not kidding.)

More wild speculative guessing ... D pipeline (six, by DOB oldest to youngest): Bast, Morrow, Benoit, Johnson, Dunbar, Ausmus <- and that's the order I'd guess they'd come in as departures occur (maybe Johnson over Benoit) F pipeline (twelve, by DOB, old to young): Portz, Schmaltz, Mongomery, Bowen, Strinden, Kunz, Constantini, Blake, James, Panzer, Singleton, Spicer <--I'd guess that order also with maybe Kunz jumping over Strinden and Constantini jumping over both. (James is the wildcard.) I think Johnson is Thome's replacement and Hedquist is Thome's.

Louis Jamernik on line one for you. (When Jamernik came in the traditional 15-8-3 shape of the roster was restored.)

Selleck-esque? Durf could never get there so stop with the blasphemy or you'll surely slip further and end up in 'stache purgatory by comparing to Sam Elliott.

I'd take it, but DU hasn't played since Feb 27 and that's concerning, at least to me.

I could see (hard luck injuries) Bast coming back under the exemption to get a year with his brother. I don't see JBD coming back. I've been figuring three defensemen, and needing at least one the following year. As I've noted, if we lose four ... Ethan Frisch becomes the old man of the group. D pipeline (by DOB oldest to youngest): Bast, Morrow, Benoit, Johnson, Dunbar, Ausmus

I think Omaha got the better draw and UMD had better buckle up and strap in. I'd rather play DU than WMU right now. @ubish: WMU got the better draw for them right now. UMD is still searching for their mojo. All that said, UND had better show up Friday (unlike the first 40 last Friday). Miami is no push.

Folks, This thread was resurrected (a little Lent/Easter lingo there for y'all) by a bot that has since been banished. (gf responded to the bot.) Thought you should know.

UND is the host school for the Fargo Regional. A host, if they make the tournament field, is always placed at their site. That rule has created some sticky wickets in the past, like say a two-seed hosting a regional in their facility where number one overall has to come in. The "no campus sites" rule has made it a little better but it can still make for some unhappy one (and/or two) seeds.

Did they shrink the WBB tournament field? If not, no worries for SDSU. Honestly, they should be good down to a 48 team field.
-
I'm sure that was in play as well (match-ups).

With that name it was a gimme. I remember a Snuggerud getting "snuggies" from Ed Belfour back in the day. A Belfour snuggie involves the narrow blade end of a goalie stick and the region immediately below and behind an opposing player's protective cup. You stood on the top of Ed's crease and you got a snuggie. It was named that because first time I saw it Dave Snuggerud was the recipient. PS - Ed would spend hours in his dorm room with a goalie stick working on speed, accuracy, and power for the technique.

Watch from 1:02 to 1:04 of the video here (https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/capitals-ovechkin-calls-wilsons-seven-game-suspension-kind-joke/) from NHL DPS. Wilson's primary impact is into the armpit of the Bruin. Now watch the video from the start, including all the messing with Wilson that had been going on before that. The Bruins suckered and baited Wilson and he foolishly bit at the first opportunity.
-
But the NHL DPS video specifically says Wilson is not a "repeat offender" because he's had no incidents for 18 months. Either he's a repeat, or he's not. Seven games makes sense for a repeater, but they say he's not. < confused >

Isn't that a tactic to get the defense to defend the whole width and open up the running game between the tackles?

You can hear the chip where they ... ... "placed" it?
