  1. Same rules as always: - skate a game in "The National", or - dress and be the back-up goalie Pretty sure here's the start:
  2. Welcome Joe!
  3. We don't have a place for stuff like this ...
  4. ... but not as a part of a headdress.
  5. Ya'know, if NDSU was FBS they'd change their mind ... or not.
  6. Indeed.
  7. I swear you go by "El_Chapo" on a different board.
  8. I was thinking we screwed up a game at Miami.
  9. HC's coach was on the Q staff in Tampa in 2016. How do I know there'll be a call from Worcester, MA, to Hamden, CT, sometime this week.
  10. Here's wishing SDSU@NDSU a record setting game, specifically: - most OTs - most plays from scrimmage (both teams) If they start Saturday and finish up say, ... noon Wednesday ...
  11. Sounds like a fine reason for the heavy lines to dump and bang away at their defense.
  12. For the folks who know the on-field play rules interpretations better than I: Will they call taunting if you are "shouting to the sky" and not at the opponent?

When USD had it on their own two in the first quarter, SDSU knowing run was coming had the safeties so far up the SDSU linebackers didn't have to look backwards to find them. SDSU must have great confidence in the speed of their DBs or they know USD isn't going to try to go TE up the seam from run formation.
  14. After three home games? Patience, Grasshopper. (I'm pretty sure Alex Heinert's first three weren't what they are today either.)

Sagarin FCS: Mont, NDSU, Sac, SDSU, Weber, Mercer, SIll, Mont St, Inc Word, Holy Cross, UND, ...

This week is heal those nagging dings, work on fundamentals, and watch and learn. Next week is put it in action.
  17. So you're saying the best he's been behind is Bismarck Century. PHI's bad line got him sacked and hurt. He's in the same precarious position now with WAS. If he doesn't have time he becomes average at best. (That's common for most QBs.)
  18. Isn't UND one of the "...-31-18", the "Eff-up 49", in that 1050 stat?
  19. You're saying he had good OLs in PHI, IND, and now in WAS?
  20. The "four games" rule came out in 2018: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/23861759/what-does-four-game-redshirt-rule-mean-division-teams That would mean Schuster's 2019 year was a Redshirt as he played only three games. (No loss of eligible year.) The 2020 season (aka 2020-2021 Spring season) is the Covid year so nobody loses that year of eligibility (even if your team played). 2021 season and now 2022 seasons both count. And you still, as always only get four eligible playing seasons. (Covid gives you an extra academic year to get them in.) By my count, Tommy Schuster has two full seasons of eligibility after this one, namely 2023 and 2024. (But I could be misinterpreting the rules also.) Highly optimistic take: Tommy will be taking snaps in January 2025 in an FCS title game (to defend the title).
  21. Four and two at the bye. Road losses at Nebraska and SIU. Five games left; three are games a playoff team should win (Abilene Christian, USD, @IndState). Two are against higher ranked/rated opponents (SDSU, @NDSU). Win the three and be 7-4 and be fairly safe for post season. Win one of the games against higher ranked but lose one you shouldn't? 7-4, but a late question on the record is never good. Then again, if the win over a ranked is last weekend of the season on the road, that too will be remembered, but in a good way. Win the three and win a game against a higher ranked? 8-3 and probably at home for the opening round. Anything more than that (i.e. win out) is greedy, and a first round bye.
  22. As much as Hardin was running around the field I figured he was a bike ride and swim short of an ironman competition.
  23. But that #8 fellow, Mr. Ocansey, seems to be coming into his own on the corner quite nicely.
  24. That final "Commanders" possession was ... a possession. It was a horrifying ghastly display. Wentz should've been picked off once, twice, thrice in the last 90 seconds of the game before it finally happened. I'll say it again: The best OL Wentz has played behind might still have been in Fargo.
