I've thought they should put ramps on the Merrifield Road overpass (County 6). Then put in the bridge at Co 6 and the Red and get over to MN 220. But that goes right past the GF Country Club and we can't be having traffic past the course now can we ... What space are they going to use at 42nd and Demers? North of tracks or south (and bend Demers)? When Fargo redid 25th, and then 45th, under the tracks I was amazed at how much space it ate up. The underpasses in Bismarck take a full city block. Moorhead's pretty new underpass by the HS (21st St) covers an insane amount of space. It's pretty tight there in GF; something's gotta give. But it'll be so much better for traffic and first responders. Someone sending all this to Mayor Bo?

Glad I went to bed after three; I wouldn't have made seven periods. If this is how FLA/CAR is going to play out it can only help the west. (Now watch DAL/VGK go four OTs tonight. )

UND spent so much time recruiting in Michigan I guess it caught up and cost. Let's see how Bernhard handles this challenge.

Fair enough. Driving-wise the comparison holds. I know a couple Lightning owners and they use them in town primarily. Pulling, open highway in the wind, or in the cold, not so much.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
The Sicatoka replied to AlphaMikeFoxtrot's topic in Men's Hockey
I'll be SO happy when everyone is done with Covid years; it makes remaining eligibility miserable to track. Guys with one eligible season: Johannes, Pyke, Pehrson, Britt Guys with two eligible seasons: Albrecht, Gaber, Jamernik, Ness, Persson, Schmaltz, Kunz, Berg The listed sophs have 3 and the freshmen have 4. Albrecht is correct due to Covid and not getting into games one year (so didn't burn it). Montgomery didn't skate in 2022-23 so doesn't count so he has 3 like a soph. But I'm sure I still missed something. -

Yeah, the way Schloss wrote about 15F/8D/3G being usual has me thinking they'll stay unless a too good to be true 16F comes available (or an injury happens). -

" ... defensive core" ... or defensive corps. Is he saying he's key (in the middle, the core, of the defense) or another member of the group? It's summer. Words mean things. I'm allowed to niggle on verbiage. corps: a body of people engaged in a particular activity. -

For literally having 0, none, nada, defensemen on the roster for a few days, credit where credit is due: The group looks good on paper. Bubs et al did some good work so far. I won't get too high until it performs. And with Strathmann and Jubenvill lined up it looks like things should stabilize going forward. -
Wash them in cold like clothes? NO. Wait. Not good. Ask George Costanza.

"Bring the 'bowl." This ad approved and sponsored by @geaux_sioux and his No Bowl, No Banner group, Coltyn Sanderson, chair. -
The "official" 2022-23 UND put out was: Player Height (inches) Sidorski 74 (6-2) Farmer 68 Moore 74 Johnson 69 Jandric 69 Frisch 70 Bast 68 (5-8) Kleven 76 Comments last fall were guys had shrunk. I'd copied that data off a UND site or release last fall to a spreadsheet; now it doesn't match what FightingHawks.com shows.

Last season D heights: 6-4, 6-2, 6-2, 5-10, 5-9, 5-9, 5-8, 5-8. (from UND roster) Now it's 6-4, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1, 5-10 (from Elite Prospects) -
It's no longer "maybe". Last year 5-10 was top half of heights; this year it's the shortest.

Mr. Britt, Welcome. Kindly leave the shiny silver helmet at SHU. However, you have been requested by @geaux_sioux to bring the fishbowl with. Signed, Your new friends in North Dakota -
100%. Nothing from 130 (Thompson) to 138 (32nd Ave) is abhorrent. It's a growth hindrance. The King's Walk area needs access. Period. Also, even a "gopher hole" (underpass, no access ramps) at 17th Ave S (Alerus Center) would be a help to grow the industrial park and rest of 42nd St.

You mean the mayor, a city leader, ... leads? Been a while since GF's had that.
-
I wonder if this is a "tell" on why whoever played last season. Did the coaches believe we were being shoved around and tried to go as big as they could most nights? Last year it was 6-4, 6-2, 6-2, ... 5-10, 5-9, 5-9, 5-8, 5-8. (from UND roster) Now it's 6-1, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4, 6-1, 6-3, ... 5-10, and maybe 6-2. (from Elite Prospects)

He handled the FuFeng fiasco as well as anyone could. He was trying to bring jobs and industry but also knew when the fight was no longer worth the effort. But, yes, as @geaux_sioux points out I hear more about "do" than photo ops (like the last guy).

The name Schlossman floated yesterday (a one year rental) signals they think someone besides Strathmann and Jubenvill will be ready in a year. And it seems we have a list. -
As an around town 40-80 miles per day machine it's an F150 Lightning with a different word.
-
Britt (LH D) would be a one-year rental. He played two at the Q and two at SHU. He played juniors with the Aberdeen Wings and won a Clark Cup with Sioux Falls. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/201459/logan-britt

The original bill was $24M. The other side wanted $0. Compromise was $10M. Burgum vetoed the $10M bill saying it should've been $24M.

From what I read the grant of (media) rights the ACC has is as tight of a contract as you'll find and will be hard to get out of.

The ND governor vetoed the school vouchers bill this legislative session. It would've given dollars to ND residents to send their kids to ND private schools. Now Riverside backs out of moving to ND. I'm shocked. Or not. Two of the biggest sponsors of the bill were from Grand Forks.

And their bottom six all just became UFAs. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/mapleleafs
