  1. I think that sooner or later I will win the PowerBall lottery, whether that would be in a few years or in the distant future. Therefore, wouldn't it be better to start spending it now?
  2. Do you know I don't have an "inside"? Are you sure? Could it be that you and I have a different understanding of the same matters? The question stands.
  3. Hasn't this road been traveled once before but then regarding contracts and qualifications to read them? I seem to recall a conversation between you and PCM along those lines. Wasn't the resultant of that one don't "act like what you think you know is the way it is"? Do you know I don't have an "inside"? Are you sure? If it is the way you say, why not blow it wide open to Tom Dennis at the GF Herald? Why just dabble on an internet posting board?
  4. I prefer The Eagles' version.
  5. Personally, ask me after the season's over. Isn't that why schedules are played? Right now it's all posturing and supposition, unless someone really does have the answer key and isn't letting on.
  6. Ralph must be really good if he's doing it now, literally from another world. The guys in control now are named Strinden and Clifford. I've never doubted or questioned their allegiances.
  7. It was so plainly stated, I thought it needed to be repeated.
  8. UND Sports Facilities Inc. is a 509(a)3 nonprofit corporation. Any profit they show they have to give to a 501©3 charitable nonprofit organization. I'm pretty sure the one UND Sports Facilities would choose would be the UND Alumni Association and Foundation (especially considering Dr. Tom Clifford and Earl Strinden are on the board of UND Sports Facilities Inc.). Would you rather (a) not have the new facilities, or (b) be renting facilities from a truly private or separate organization that will provide no return to UND?
  9. So a DII WBB averaged more than some DII FB programs. Yes. Can't disagree. But what in the world is any DII womens BB team doing averaging more than any DI-AA football program? I thought DI-AA football was an upgrade. Apparently, in the recent past, some DI-AA programs have been beaten by "the DII girls," as in BB, at the gate. Very disappointing.
  10. Are you sure your statement may not be better phrased as: "What or who those were is anyone's guess."
  11. He's Ryan Potulny's buddy: GFRR, Lincoln in the USHL, that other WCHA program they're both at.
  12. Are you saying we can all pack it in now because you have the answer key to the 2004 football season already?
  13. Drake and Valpariso? In the 2002-2003 academic year, UND averaged more fans per home game than either Valpo or Drake did per home football game. Now, let me finish that sentence: In the 2002-2003 academic year, UND womens basketball averaged more fans per home game than either Valpo or Drake did per home football game.
  14. How about "The Star Spangled Banner" right after the last game of an Olympic hockey tournament? OK, OK, I'd be fine with "Oh Canada" in that situation also.
  15. Why do ticket prices go up? Because things cost money. Link to that story. Even the BCS-types are having to increase revenues to pay increasing costs. Only the SEC has been "in the black" for all ten of the years from 1993 to 2002. You have to pay the bills.
  16. Depending upon what the Coroner finds, the SIQ may have more than one problem. According to this page, there are a host of crimes that can lead to the Federal death sentence. We've been focused on the kidnapping aspect of this. The others are things I choose to not think about but that the Coroner may report happened.
  17. Who is UND Sports Facilities Inc.? As a non-profit corporation, guess what they have to do with any profits the may acquire along the way? Give them away to a charitable organization. I wonder who UND Sports Facilities Inc.'s favorite charity is.
  18. I said "May." That's my hope. Let's let them do their jobs and file their findings, whatever they may be.
  19. Mentioning The Betty .... http://theralph.com/construction/
  20. Then it needed to happen again because apparently some folks just don't understand it.
  21. I can't believe no one has rolled out the old legal axiom: Possession is nine tenths of the law. Last I saw it, NDSU's Blue Key gave it to UND (namely the UND Student Senate with the UND football team serving as their proxy for receiving it) and UND has possessed it ever since. Possession is nine tenths of the law.
  22. Forgive me for being somewhat unemotional and objective at this point: Dru is now with the Ramsey Co. Coroner's Office. (They handle autopies for all of MN.) May those people, with some of the most difficult work known to man, find the evidence needed to convict the culprit and help bring the culprit to the strongest justice possible under the law.
  23. Genoway did a very nice job at center with Bochenski this season.
  24. I'm probably digging myself another hole. I wasn't real excited to hear "bad bounces" and "wasn't our night" and "they're a good team" talk from the captain after some of this season's losses in the post-game radio show. I wanted to hear more "we need to work even harder" and "we need to raise our intensity to meet the challenge" more often from the captain. Having said that, .... I'd move the "C" onto Matt Jones and I'd put an "A" on Bochenski and Schneider. Now, I am basing my assessment on what I see and hear in the media. If what happens in "The Room" makes my assessment void, meaning Schneider really does "rally the lads with rousing words" there but withholds them from the media (and the other team's locker room door too), so be it. Have him keep the "C" and put an "A" on Jones (and still Bochenski). I'd expect the "C" to go onto Prpich in fall of 2005.
  25. For those of you asking me to give grades, I'd give the entire team, each player, an "I" for incomplete. They didn't do all the work I expected of them; they can make it up next season.
