  1. It can't be either. It's not accurate: Where's the sound of Swygman eating?
  2. I just posted on USCHO that perception becomes reality. You could maybe write off Eric Johnson or Kyle Okposo as disgruntled, but an NHL GM on the record is a problem.
  3. The odds of a great conspiracy of that nature are roughly the same as GF's Dynamic Duo (Kauker and his pal "Gretzky") skating a regular shift at defense for Garth Snow's Islanders while using their favorite Subway sandwiches as sticks.
  4. How Garth Snow got off of Don Lucia'a and Joel "no vertebrae" Maturi's Christmas card lists .... One last tidbit: This had nothing to do with the Simon suspension.
  5. Think we could get Brett's dad in as a voluteer assistant to work with goalies once in a while?
  6. http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/index.cfm?id=61157 Oh yeah, John Q. "I'm Chapman's sock puppet" Paulsen is looking out for UND's interests .....
  7. That "Cavalry" moniker just ratcheted up a notch or two on my list ....
  8. If he was left handed it would be more like $14-16 million.
  9. You have to wonder how Rodney Bordeaux feels about this loose cannon making his life, shall we say, more "interesting". And Chairman Bordeaux has to feel doubly damaged because "Bordeaux" is French and Means used 'Vishy Indians" as a slur (presumably against him). You have to love that Russell Means can still draw a crowd .... but "Why?" is anybody's guess.
  10. Oshie, Duncan, Kaip sounds pretty good to me. At risk of repeating myself ... Oshie - Creator Kaip - Getter Duncan - Shooter
  11. So who put that onto their Christmas list?
  12. Some great reading in there .... Wait a minute here .... how can this be? That reads like they stick it to each other for being different. I thought only "whitey" (the 'wasicu' for those of you speaking Siouan dialects) stuck it to Native Americans.
  13. This really deserves a thread all by itself. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,317548,00.html
  14. They're hoping to get on Kim Jong-Il's calendar in North Korea before the year ends.
  15. With no treaty: .... Doesn't that mean the US State Department would have to negotiate the Sioux nickname*? and more importantly .... Doesn't that mean we're still at war? Where's William T. Sherman when you need him .... The bad news for Ron McNeil (aka His Horse is Thunder): Today's 7th Cavalry has armor. * states can't negotiate with foreign entities
  16. How can you not feel the love in that? However, I still say ....
  17. The exact opposite was true just five years ago. Sad how quickly this has changed (from the college perspective). The WCHA needs to quit living in the past and keep up with the times: If you want to keep sending guys to the pros you have to call it like the pros.
  18. If this is true, it'll be interesting to hear what he says affected his decision. My observation: He seemed to get a lot of "attention" (code word for WCHA sanctioned hooking, holding, and interference) from other teams this year. My assumption: He could either fight through it or go play in a league where they've cleaned it up and he gets paid. Tough choice .... My analysis: The WCHA's quest for league parity has made it a parody of a league. My solution: Get the no-talent clutch-and-grab hacks, who specialize not in controlling pucks but interfering with those who can, off the backs of the truely talented players (like Vanek, Parise, Kessel, Toews, Oshie, Duncan). Start calling this league like real men, like professionals, like the National Hockey League. I believe I just called Bruce McLeod, and his staff, and his officials, little boys and girls because adults do what's right and best even if it's not popular.
  19. Seems how clinics are run is how they run businesses ... they get the work on a preferred supplier contract and then can't follow instruction on how to build (how to weave!) body armor for American soldiers.
  20. I do, but I also try to wear them selectively. What I'll never have is yellow pants or socks, 'cause you know how you get those .... (whizz) ....
  21. That story seems more suited to coming from North Korea .... Would that pretty much make a "Ron McNeil (aka His Horse Is Thunder)" equivalent to a Kim Jong-Il?
  22. I have to ask .... I'm hearing $15-20 million for the indoor training facility. Seems a reasonable estimate. Putting in an outdoor track and soccer facility ... I'm guessing $3-5 million? The cost of a second ramp (a must if you lose parking to a soccer field) should be pretty easy: What'd the first ramp (west of Columbia Road) cost? $5-10 million? Anyone know the number? The question is: What does 25000 seat stadium with a football field and a retractable roof cost? I'm guessing that complex is $200 million at least.
