  1. Is Ryan Hill intended to bring what Aaron Walski brought? Both are guys who came in relatively old (21-ish). Both are guys who took longer to figure the game out. Both are guys that understand that it make take time to make an impact. Both are guys who seem to be based on stability and maturity and calming influence.
  2. Compare and Contrast: Denver's Gwozdecky goes nuts, gets ejected, the walks on the surface and delays the game, and then goes to the press box to stay in contact (by wire) with his team during the game after ejection: One game, by the team. Baltimore's Dave Trembley gets ejected, leaves, and then tells Luke Scott "get me a couple" runs: Two games, and fined, by the league. It just confirms what I knew already about WCHA 'leadership'.
  3. I read mine and find: " ... and the deeds of infamy became legend." -- Archibald: 247-540 " ... verily the season of glory is too soon forgotten." -- Archibald: 37-24-61
  4. Guess what: I don't like the hype either. So what. (shrug) But let's talk about the actual product, because seeing is believing: The image quality is no contest.
  5. " ... and many false prophets will follow." -- Hrkac: 46-70-116 " ... and I was given a great gift and showed others a shining light." -- Joyce: 52-37-89
  6. See the one-year Badger Body-count at the end of this Schlossman Special.
  7. Is this a signal that: a) LaPoint's recovery has slowed and this is a defense corps insurance policy? b) Forney isn't coming and Hill is filling a roster spot (to get to 25)? c) Hakstol will be going with a 26-man roster this year? Hak was recently heard to say "eight, maybe nine" in answer to the question of how many new faces in camp this fall. Adding nine would make a 25-man roster (like the Hak teams of the last few seasons). Well, two goalies, MacWilliam, Gleason, Cichy, Kristo, Bruneteau, and Rowney makes eight. Hill makes nine, without Forney. Now, re-read my questions above.
  8. My anonymous sources have retrieved two secret tapes of Schroeder. I've spliced them together for your convenience. The first part is Jordan impressing Minnesota media with his vast skill array (0:00 to 0:45). Next is his interview with the NHL at the combine (0:45 to conclusion).
  9. You missed the Aussies.
  10. You lost me after that.
  11. Part of the Kangas/Bachman problem may have been sophomore slump. Another may have been complacency: They knew the job was theirs. Enter Aaron Dell. (Crazy like fox that Hakstol.)
  12. Of course you don't. Imagine the environmental impact statement paperwork you'd have to do over all of that toxic waste dumped into the ocean.
  13. No, it's been about making money for your friends when you're in power in Washington. Ask Al "I'm up $100 million since I was VP" Gore. And it's also about creating a false economy: buying and selling "credits". Must be nice to create something new "of worth" out of nothing, and also have to power to force people to buy the nothings. When a situation confuses you and nothing seems to make sense: Stop. Rise above. Look in objectively from the outside. And ... Follow the Benjamins, for then all will become clear.
  14. Bemidji State made that Frozen Four run with how many "blue chippers"? BSU had a couple guys who didn't have star-name-power but who did show they know how to play the game in pressure situations and a team bought into a system that worked for them.

  16. I predict I'm going to ask until we find answers to ... Do we have an official "Yup" or "Nope" from Forney yet? It seems Dayn Belfour has been seen at a USHL camp. Interesting. Do we have a name of a third goalie yet?
  17. It's a philosophy. It's a 400.
  18. A doctor is charged $xxx for their medical license which gives them status to work in a state. And they, as a service provider, don't pass that along to their consumers? And they're required to carry malpractice insurance. I'm sure they don't pass that cost along either. Nobody can be that naive. It's the cost of doing business and that cost is always built in to the price and passed along. Period.
  19. I'm assuming folks concerned with carbon going into the atmosphere are pedaling a stationary bike to power their PC. If not, they should shut off the PC to do their part to limit carbon (and other noxious) emissions. No, wait, their pedaling would cause additional human-based CO2 emissions. Now how could they stop those emissions ... breathe less?
  20. Wouldn't be surprised at all to find out Morinville and Johnson have chatted. No further comment.
  21. <my best radio-guy voice> ... forehand, backhand, ... waterbottle, ... what a move! GOAL! He got us all leaning one way, and then just used the 'tender. No chance. Top corner. Left 'em sprawling. That'll be on the scoresheet as 'choyt, unassisted, at 9:10'. Kids listening at home, that's why you work and work and work on that backhander. You use it when you get a chance like that. Face-off back at center ice ... </my best radio-guy voice>
  22. Tell it to the newspaper in Grand Island, NE, that reported it. They must be the ones making up lies.

  24. Sure, not your average spectator, but a spectator the same just the same. http://board.uscho.com/showpost.php?p=4319...p;postcount=407 So, who is going to reign in "Myles' Monster".
  25. Luke Johnson? Why not GF (HS name here), then NAHL (Bismarck), then NAHL (Bismarck), then USHL (Fargo), then USHL (Fargo), then ... wisely attend dad's alma mater.
